Condescending
I gave this to my hipster son to help him relate to his father. While it may be funny in parts, it is condescending to the children of these hips dads. Typical page reads;TYPEWRITERS- Your did owned a typewriter before you did and he's got the white-out marks to prove it. His fingers punched keys and left black-eye alphabet marks on paper. However, it didn't leave squiggly red lines under his misspellings or grammatical slip-ups. It just did what he told it to, unlike you. SO HIPSTERS, when you're getting back to the origins of being a writer and enjoying the rhymic clack of mechanical type, remember this.... Those keys have seen words you can't even imagine, and you dad was the author. P.S. The typewriter app for the iPad makes you look like a pretentious douche.Funny pictures of the 70's guys though. If you can handle it fine, for this family, just too mean spirited.

Funny for a gift, but wouldn't buy again
I bought this as a Father's Day gift for my father-in-law because it reminded me of him. The pictures are pretty funny and true to dads from our generation, and the text is fun to read as well. It's another one of those fun for a few minutes gift books that are so popular right now, so it was fun once, but I wouldn't buy it again due to the short length.

Too funny!! Great gift for dads from the 70s and 80s.
This book was better than expected. I actually bought it for myself (I'm a hipster dad in my 40s), but I would recommend it as a gift or gag gift for any dads of kids from the 70s and 80s. The pictures are hilarious. They all look my dad.

My dad loved it.
My dad was an original hipster, and he had the sense of humor to prove it.I purchased this book for my dad for fathers day. He loved it. I haven't seen him laugh that hard in years. He says that it is painfully nostalgic. The book is made with good quality paper and the spine is well constructed. This book will be a great coffee table conversationpiece for a long time.If you enjoyed the website, I would highly recommend the book.

AWESOME BOOK!
I recently received my copy of this witty book a few days ago. I've been waiting a year and half after submitting a photo of my dad to the author's website. I've watched the progression of this book from an idea to a real manifestation and I can honestly say it is an essential for anyone who's ever thought about moving to Williamsburg, silverlake or portland. Great pictures and funny one liners will really showcase that hipsters are only as original as their fathers. Worth every penny.

Adorded by Dad
I bought this as a joke for my dad's birthday. Even though it was only meant as a supplement for his gift, the amount of laughter it caused was enough for the book to carry as its own gift. My dad was more than delighted to be reminded that not only was he cool in his 20s and 30s, he is cooler than those currently in their 20s and 30s. Great nostalgia that made him feel like he still had it.

Great book for dads who always think they started trends!
My dad always talks about how he started the duck boot trend long before it became popular again, along with the jean shorts, beards, craft beers, sunglasses, watches, polaroids, you name it. This book was perfect for him to remind him that he's not the only one who used to be cool. Got a real kick out of it!

Good for about 10 seconds of laughter... then repeats like a broken record... like a broken...
Has some great classic photos, nice layout, but too much of the same phrasing. Wish it was edited first before published. Could have been one of the best books out there. Good to randomly flip to a page then after that page put it down/away & forget about it for a month before returning to the book again. Full of relevant, topical ideas, but the delivery is not so good... oh well.
