DEWALT Miter Saw Crown Stops (DW7084)

Simple and useful, once you set it up it will make it easy to do consistent cuts.

Arrived on time and as advertised. Great addition to my dewalt miter saw. No more crown jigs to build. Just pop them in adjust for what ever size crown your cutting and go!A must have for anyone cutting crown. Time is money.

We used this to cut the crown moulding for two of our rooms (office and guest bathroom). A *MUST* have to insure your cuts line up when mounted. We measured twice, cut to exact lengths, and kept the moulding snug against the crown stops (we put blue tape on the saw bed to mark a common reference point for the downside of all the cuts), and the job looks very, very professional. Especially since we had round outside corners to address (make all 4 cuts at 22.5 degrees). Well worth the money.

Purchased these to add to my older model dewalt miter saw and they fit and worked perfectly. Very satisfied with the way the molding nestled in the brackets. Also impressed with the thickness of the metal. These are very heavy quality and should last for many years to come. Great purchase and price for the quality of the product.

These make using the miter saw much easier to use when cutting crown moulding. I'm a novice at putting up moulding and this has greatly aiding me during the learning process. It also helped with cutting angles on other types of moulding.

Before I purchased these I read lots of reviews and all of them talked about installing them on Dewalt miter saws. I watched a video on YouTube of a guy relocating them on his Dewalt miter saw so he could use them on larger crown moldings. I decided I could do the same thing on my newly acquired Kobalt miter saw. I received these yesterday went to Lowe’s and purchased a combination drill bit and thread cutter (tap) 8mm bit with a thread cutter tap of 1.25. I marked the location on the edge of the saw making sure that it would not interfere with any of the workings under the saw. I drilled a small pilot hole on each side and then went after it with the 8mm drill bit. I then cut the new threads. The hand tightening wing bolts that come with the crown stop brackets worked perfectly in the new threaded bolts. The kobalt saw has a slight offset in edges that wouldn’t allow the tightening wing bolt to fully tighten against the brackets. One more trip back to Lowe’s and the purchase of two 8mm 1.25 nuts and some 8mm flat washers solved the issue. I installed two nuts on each of the winged bolts along with a washer and it got me past the offset and secured the brackets to the saw.The brackets are well made and very sturdy you won’t be disappointed.

I made the mistake of buying an off brand to save some money. They looked the same but they did not fit properly on my Dewalt saw. This job, I ordered the correct crown stops. They fit perfectly and made cutting crown mold a breeze.

Fits DWS 780. The machine has a threaded hole for these to screw in. Kit comes with threaded clips but you don't need them.
