Quite decent black sketch pad, nice with colored pencils
The first thought a lot of people probably have when they see this black sketch paper is that it's just construction paper, but no. The Faber-Castell black sketch pad is much smoother, finer grained, and darker black than construction paper. I happened to have both on hand, so I took a photo of them side by side. The photo is pretty good at showing the difference. On this, I've played with chalk pastels which work well, and colored pencils (I use Prismacolor Premier) which work even better. The pencils draw smoothly and the black background is a pleasant change. It isn't the finest black paper out there, but it's nice for what it is. It's a decent starting paper if you want to play with drawing on black.

Expensive But the Best
This is the best tracing paper on the market. It's very sturdy and easy to use, and it works great. You get what you pay for, as this is on the pricey side. The quantity of paper in this tablet is very small, so order more than one if you have lots of tracing projects.

A good sketchpad for kids!
It’s hard to describe a sketchpad so I would say that the item is as described. I think it is held together well and the pages can stay in or easily be taken out. Pretty good deal for the price.
