Very Small
First the item is very small, about the size of a woman’s palm. That was disappointing. We purchased the penguin. It’s cute and since the entire surface is covered in soft material, it’s not too cold for a child’s skin.

Soft
Cute and soft! Really soft. It doesn’t get quite as cold as I’d like but it’s very nice and gentle. Can be used on face without feeling icy. It’s also fairly durable...it hasn’t bursted or spilled or anything.

Perfect kids ice/hot packs!
Bought 1, then ordered a pack of them since the first was so great. The kids love them. They are just adorable and very soft- just the kind of thing you would want to gently hold on an owie. I think if/when the gel packs break, the cute little animal shells will still be fun for the kids to enjoy. You could even put some ice cubes in a baggy and tuck it right inside. The cloth seems the right thickness to protect a child from the intense coldness of the ice.

Popular Ice Back
It does everything you would expect a cold pack to do. Grandchildren love the design and easily apply them to their booboos. I haven’t needed to use the warm function.

Great ice pack for kids
Great product for when the littles get a bump or bruise. The kids really like the animal face.

super cute, good idea to have a snug-fitting cover ...
Pros: super cute, good idea to have a snug-fitting cover for an icepack/hotpackCons: the gel pack takes FOREVER to heat up if you're using it as a hot compress. The microwave was doing nothing, so I'd put the pack in a plastic bag and in a container of hot (not boiling) water. Still took forever.Overall: I'd recommend it as an icepack, but not as a hot compress.
