desertcart.com: Vixen 03: A Novel (Dirk Pitt Adventure): 9780440423140: Cussler, Clive: Books Review: great book. - Good Book and great service...Thanks Review: An all-time classic Cusller gem - Just re-read this book for the third time (first time was in 1986 at the tender age of 11, then again in 2004). Hard-core, vintage Cussler, much more violent, profane, and sexually explicit than the newer, watered-down, PG-level Dirk Pitt books...and ergo much more entertaining. UPDATE AS OF 18SEP2023: I just finished reading “Vixen 03,” which I’ve never done with any other full-length novel. And since I let more than a decade elapse since the last reading, enough details and particulars had faded from my memory that there was a sufficient degree of freshness and surprise. What’s more, I now have an even greater appreciation for plots elements of the novel, thanks to some additional life experiences since the previous reading, namely: (1) touring the actual USS Iowa battleship a half-dozen times;(2) working closely with and befriending a ton of South Africans (blacks, whites, Coloreds, and Indians alike) in my overseas contracting stints; and (3) living and working in “The Beltway,” i.e. the Washington DC Metropolitan area.

An all-time classic Cusller gem
Just re-read this book for the third time (first time was in 1986 at the tender age of 11, then again in 2004). Saving the world a la Cussler!
A great novel from Cussler’s early career. Unbelievable, as always, but in a nice way. Dirk Pitt is his usual Bond-type self although I prefer his character in later books, once Clive really got to grips with his main man. Perhaps I would have liked more detail in the underwater exploits and less around-the-edge stories. Overall, a really good read which won’t let anyone done.

Vixen 03
Clive, you've done it again. Despite the fact that this book was written over 30 years ago it still manages to be as pertinent today as it was in 1978, and will remain so as long as there are terrorists out there. Dirk Pitt and his trusty sidekick, Al Giordino, get up to their usual hijinks and save the day as usual. For those of you who follow the Dirk Pitt novels this one is where you get to meet Congresswoman Loren Smith in greater detail. Have fun with this one...... you know you will.

Thank you for for such a well written book!
I loved this book. All the twists in the plot, I could not put the book down. Many nights I would be up very late reading until I my eyes could no longer focus clearly. Thank you for for such a well written book!

CC rules! :-)

This is the first Cussler novel I ever read - thanks to my sister who bought it for me as a present over 25 years ago. I was intrigued by the subplot upon subplot and found it almost impossible to put down once I started reading it.....Now I have it on Kindle, it still holds the same mystery and intrigue and was a pleasure to read and catch up with 'old friends'

Clive Cussler excels his own standards. The book is a page turner. Eerily Cussler and is QD ring a bell today - in the times of the Covid.
