If you order a box of toilet rolls, it will be shipped through a recyclable box but if you put an add on like tissue or paper towel, our warehouse will use plastic straps to keep the boxes as one package. We pay for shipping 'per package', so if we can strap a box of tissues or paper towels on top of a box of toilet paper, it's way more cost effective. This not only saves our customers money and makes the value of our products more attractive, it also keeps our overheads lower, which means building more toilets! We have been told by some customers that their local councils do accept Polypropylene (PP #5) strapping in general recycling as long as it's cut into smaller pieces.
