This well-written, beautifully-illustrated, well-indexed reference work covers many everyday repairs. It is a pleasure to read. However, I am left wishing there was more to it.The book is not encyclopedic (i.e. it does not attempt to cover "anything"), but is very limited in scope. Still, it will definitely serve as a useful supplement to the other, more comprehensive, materials in my DIY library.

This is a fantastic, easy to follow guide to just like it says fix anything! Great buy! I recommend to everyone!

Not inclusive missing basic HVAC

I bought this for my brother in law who doesn’t know how to do anything. I hope this is useful as he has just bought a new home

I grew up reading my dad's Popular Mechanics magazines and wanted the same experience and knowledge for my own sons. We are always working on our house and the kids love to help. I fear their generation won't have much knowledge of fixing things or much desire to do for themselves on their own so this was the perfect book to spur that independence and confidence. It has sooooo much info. Definitely recommend!
