I thought they ran true to size in my daughter's big kid size 2. I also got a pair of size 7 toddler for my 2 year old and those ran a touch big but not tremendously. The toddler ones have a Velcro strap across to keep them on and the big girls don't. They are soft and a beautiful color. They send extra rhinestones for the heart in case some fall off, which was nice. My daughters both put them on immediately and danced around.
