Amazon Brand - Solimo Therapeutic Dandruff Shampoo, Original Strength, 8.5 fl oz

It does have that heavy shampoo tar smell however, it did decrease my dandruff/dry scalp a lot. I follow up with a nice smelling conditioner and hair styling product and it negates the tar smell. I can get away with washing my hair every other day to every two days. For the price and results, you can't beat it.

This shampoo really works good and it didn't take long to see the results. My scalp was so dry and itchy over winter that it was driving me crazy. I was hesitant about this shampoo working but it actually did, and I saw results almost immediately. After a week the itching and flakes were much better. After the 2nd week everything was gone. I still use it occasionally to maintain but no longer have to use it every time I shampoo. The smell is not great but it's not terrible either. It's better than some others I've tried with similar ingredients. A second quick shampoo with something else does the trick. I was very pleased with this product.

I have pretty bad scalp issues that always get worse in the winter. I was tired of paying an arm and a leg on specialty shampoos so I decided to try out the budget friendly option from Amazon. I am happy to report that this worked for me. I just shampooed my hair and left the product on my scalp for about 10-15 minutes before washing it out for 3 days straight. By the third day, there was no more visible dandruff, which elated me. The problem was that my hair was extremely dry and breaking at this point. This shampoo also has that tar smell. Would I order it again? Yes because it works, it was affordable, and I finally have a clear, non itchy scalp. Do I wish the smell was less offensive and that it didn’t dry out my curls to the point it created split ends? Absolutely. But until I find another brand with a better smell, I guess I will use Amazon brand in the meantime.

After using just one time my dry scalp cleared up! I rotate it between my normal shampoo every other wash now and it hasn’t came back. The smell kind of sucks, and your hair feels dry after shampooing, but by the time conditioner sets it feels and smells good. Highly recommend, cheap price, and a quality product.

I’ve only had this shampoo about 2 weeks, but I already see a difference in dandruff. My dandruff wasn’t too bad to begin with but this has cleared it up quicker than expected. It does make my hair fell very dry after use but I always condition afterwards and then it’s fine. I personally don’t mind the smell as much as some reviewers, it’s not something I would choose in a product for that reason, but it’s not a terrible smell (it smells a little like too-strong cologne to me). And, like I said, I always condition afterwards and that helps the smell go away and it doesn’t seem to last in my hair. My main issue with the product (and the reason for 3 stars) was that it had no seal inside the bottle and the cap was not sealed tight so when I received it the product had leaked a bit. Luckily the other item I had ordered that amazon shipped in the same box was in a plastic bag or it would have been ruined and unusable.

well i have been having my wrestler use this to prevent any skin stuff. Wrestled 4 years now and he has never got any skin stuff. since it works for kid i thought let try on the dog that had skin issues... well it has been working he has not been itching near what he was. poor dog has a lot of issues. I was buyign exteremely expensive soap for him and it didnt do anything. I used this and its helping a lot more. Now I am no vet but hey it has helped. I use a small amouth and let it ssit on the dog for a few min he is a huge black lab. So hey there is my 2 sents worth. works on both human and dog.

There's a money back guarantee so I was like, eh, why not, it's super cheap in comparison to the other brand. Just like the other stuff, took several weeks for it to really kick in. I use this twice to three times a week and in between, I use the Solimo 2-in-1 dandruff shampoo and I can say that I no longer see a single flake on dandruff on my head. Cheap and awesome, an excellent combination!

I had an extremely itchy and flaky scalp for weeks before I decided to order this product. The day I got it, my scalp was bright red and bleeding, I had a full mental breakdown because I had tried everything and I had never had a dandruff problem before. It felt like there was no fix. How wrong I was. After the first use my head was immediately relieved. The itchiness and dryness was slightly there, but nothing like it was before, and I only noticed it when I thought about it. I used it the second time last night and now my scalp is starting to feel normal again. 10/10 would recommend. The smell is chemically, but it's not too overpowering and isn't necessarily a bad smell. I just followed it with my normal shampoo and the smell was gone. The bottle does say it may discolor bleached blonde hair, but I've had no issues so far.
