We are here designing websites, printed books, furniture for the home and office, clothing, visual merchandising, in short, thanks to the Bauhaus, its teachers and students. They gave us sans serif typefaces, the dot and the line in space and reminded us that God is in the details, as Mies Van Der Rohe said.

Bauhaus don’t need introductions. It’s a 5 stars from before getting the book. Package was good and book arrived intact

This is a beautiful and probably informative book with one glaring problem. The text size is so small as to be almost unreadable unless you have perfect vision. Even with good reading glasses I could not follow the text. Using the "E Scale" on a graphics arts ruler it looks like 6 pt type, which is kind of, I don't know. insulting (?) to a lot of people. I returned the Bauhaus book. [n the same Amazon order I received a Zizek volume (Verso) with 10 pt type which is about as small as readable for many of us.] PS. The Taschen website shows a 10 x 13 inch version of the same volume to be released soon...but for $80.

Well illustrated, a strong introduction to the movement,it's principal artists, designers and craftspeople. Highly recommended.

I wanted a Bauhaus book for Christmas, and I am thinking about an album by the band Bauhaus as well.
