Viking ships rock!
This isn't a How-to-Build a Viking Ship instruction manual. This book basically explains the different types of Viking ships and their parts or layouts. But other than that I really enjoyed reading this book.

Very good and complete little book.It is not an encyclopaedia, nor is it meant to be one.

Really basic, but still is a useful beginning
A small basic book. There could be more too a book this size, though still a decent beginning

useful
generally good and useful. More diagrams of planking methods of installing ,cutting and bending would be better.photo graphs could be sharper/

Excellent history of the design and building of the viking ...
Excellent history of the design and building of the viking ships. Good overview of where they were discovered and they are categorized by the type of ship.

Drakkar!!!
I have always loved the sleek, classic clinker built lines of these light, fast, shallow drafted boats!

Fascinating topic well presented
Great souvenir for those lucky enough to visit the British Museum while the Viking exhibition was displaying the last ship to be excavated out of Roskilde Fjord. But it is a good second prize for those who were not able to attend, with the added bonus that this can be read at leisure without the crowds (who almost made the exhibition a disappoint - and I do appreciate that I was part of the problem - three times).

A wonderful book of Viking ships
We like the book of the Viking ships: interesting stuff. It came in very good condition and quite quickly. We had just been to the Oslo museum of the Viking ships so it is a good reminder.
