Sock Starter Kit REGIA Pairfect (9136 - Garden) + addi CraSy Trio aka Flexi Flips (US1/2.25mm)

I love this yarn! It starts at the 1x1 ribbed "cuff" then the design begins on the leg, when the solid color ends, you knit 2 rounds, then start the heel. If you follow the directions on their YouTube video, the heel will use the amount of yarn correctly for the heel, but it you vary the amount of cast-on stitches or your favorite heel varies, you'll run out of heel yarn and the patterned yarn begins (however, who the heck is going to see it, that part of the heel is on the bottom of the foot?). Continue the foot part of the sock, and the toe is very long, but there is a lot of extra yarn for longer feet. The yarn design pattern only works for top-down socks. Arne & Carlos showed on YouTube what it looks like if you try to start with the top-up. I love this yarn so much, I bought MANY of the different colorways. I'm on the toe of my 3rd pair & will begin my 4th pair today, Christmas. My favorite heel is the afterthought heel, but I tried different heels on each skein/ball of their colorful yarn. You will have fun watching the color changes of all the different colorways, each pattern different. I use to dislike knitting socks, but Arne & Carlos' yarn design made me love knitting them & it goes surprisingly fast. Oh, one negative is that the yarn may be a little think for your regular shoes, but should be okay for athletic shoes or SAS shoes. I had to go up a half-size in regular shoes. KNIT ON as Elizabeth Zimmerman would say on her TV shows & videos.

Liked the yarn quality but would have preferred more pinks and less of the green.

1. I’ve used the Regia yarn for years. This Pairfect Yarn designed by Arne and Carlos requires center pull. The yarn vomit is seriously ridiculous; I’ve spent hours detangling it. 2. The yellow guide yarn is super excessive-yards long! If it’s included in the weight, huge waste because it’s not used in these socks. I’ll save it for scrappy socks, but Ill never buy Pairfect Yarn again.3. The socks are shorter by 1.5”, and the foot is short as well unless a huge toe of contrasting color is the goal.4. Inconsistent yarn-its fat, it’s thin, it’s all over the place. Not the usual Regia quality.

This is my first attempt with Regia Pairfect, and It won't be my last.I had been avoiding knitting any cuff-down socks because I hate Kitchener stitch so much. However, I am glad that I bit the bullet with this. I love that the socks match perfectly. I love that I know exactly when to end the cuff, when to start the heel.Just a note, this yarn is very sticky; it just loves itself. As a consequence, there are times when there is unavoidable yarn barf (if you are using the center pull method) as the yarn catches on itself deep inside the skein, tightens up, and won't let go. Yarn barf doesn't bother me at all, nor do tangles. About midway through the second sock, the looseness of the skein at that point caused it to do this with a fair bit of regularity, so I decided to rewind the ball from the outside to eliminate the issue. There comes a time in most center-pull skeins when the skein becomes too loose and floppy and I decide to rewind for the remainder of the project; with this, it needed it a bit sooner than I would ordinarily have rewound, but it really wasn't any bother.

I've knit multiple pairs of socks with different patterns of Pairfect, starting as a pandemic project and continuing because it's so much fun watching the pattern emerge. Then the completed socks are machine washable and dryable, unlike other wool yarns, and make great gifts for people who can't cope with hand washing!

This yarn will be for socks but have not started .

I love the ease of the MATCHING BOTH SOCKS . I always have to pull a lot of yarn with other brands to get a perfect match when knitting socks. PAIRFECT. WITH Arne and Carlos design was a joy and with Ample yarn for knitting larger size as well. I have gifted the socks and get nothing but praise , designs, and colors are beautiful. I highly recommend and look forward to more patterns from Arne and Carlos.

Love the concept of the Pairfect yarn if you are interested in having identical socks rather than fraternal.Regia quality is well known, the pattern in this colourway Is very pleasing

Wunderbare Wolle, wirklich ! Ich hab schon mehrere Socken mit dieser speziellen Sockenwolle gestrickt. Das Muster war tatsächlich absolut identisch bei beiden Socken. Eine Kundin schrieb, dass das Sockenmuster nicht stimmte. Vermutlich hat sie die Wolle falsch abgewickelt ansonsten habe ich dafür keine Erklärung. Ich bin mehr als zufrieden.

Wenn ich die anderen Kundenrezensionen lese, glaube ich der Kauf dieser Wolle ist reine Glücksache. Die 2. Socke ist vom selben Knäuel und ich bin echt gespannt, wie das Muster weitergeht. Wäre es nicht so schade für die Arbeit, die man sich macht, wäre es zum Lachen.. Falls sie zwei gleiche Socken haben wollen, bitte nicht kaufen! Für Größe 37 ungeeignet!

Ich habe kleinere Füße leider nichts für mich. Ich müsste grösse Füße haben bei einer Größe von 1, 65 m. Da ist was ich nicht weiß wieviel Wolle brauche ich für den zweiten Socken, also das Bündchen. Jetzt heißt es schätzen. Das zweite Bündchen kann länger oder kleiner ausfallen. Ich muss weil ich schon angefangen habe alles nochmal machen DUMM gelaufen man hat ja sonst nichts zutun, und der Hersteller lacht sich in dumm und dusselig ist sicher ein Mann. Zu viel Abfall nicht nur am Anfang die gelbe Wolle, in der Mitte jede Menge und am Ende jede Menge gelbe Wolle. Wofür am Schluss nochmal das ist und bleibt ein Rätsel.
