Review: My dishwasher is clean!!!!! - I was surprised that you use the entire container. You can smell the chemicals at first…so turn on your vent if you are sensitive otherwise it is mild. My dishwasher is clean and smells brand new. Leave yourself plenty of time because you have to run the hottest, longest cycle twice. Wish I started running it earlier than I did…. Started mid afternoon and went past dinner. Definitely had to eat out. I tried using other methods to clean my dishwasher…vinegar and store bought cleaners. My dishwasher had gotten to the point where it wasn’t rinsing the soap completely and a discoloration had developed. Nothing I tried worked, it only got worse. NOW, I am so happy it is clean. What I am unhappy about is that my less than one year old dishwasher got this way in the first place. Never had this problem with other dishwashers I have had. I have to wonder if the dishwasher was installed incorrectly or just the way the machine is made. My guess is that it isn’t draining properly.

**Q: Where do you place the product?**
A: You can run a cycle using this instead of dishwasher soap (no dishes of course).. Or you can put a bit in the little pool of water inside the drain filter that usually remains after a regular cycle.

**Q: Are there any English instructions anywhere?**
A: Look for the small arrow on the front of the container. Peel back the label for instructions in several languages. 
I hope this helps.

**Q: Would this help flush any detergent remenants from the pump on my washing machine?**
A: I don't know but it was recommended to me to use the following product after the Descaler. I could definitely tell the difference. Also, my plumber warned to stay away from any pod type detergents for dishwasher and washing machine. The outer layer of the pod does not always dissolve. The soap is much thicker and can coat your drain causing clogs.

I am glad I did it on a Bosch dishwasher that is 9 years old. Lately I had the feeling that the water intake took too long and since we live where water is extremely hard I thought the calcifications might have caused that. Anyways— I used the product and now I cannot even hear the intake process. Also looks brand new inside. I had a little problem with the english instructions but when I read the German instruction it was very clear. Put on highest temperature setting, let run for 30 min, then open door carefully and put powder in. close door and let run its course. THEN run it one more time empty full cycle. I have ordered another one for my Miele washer. I will do it from now on once a year. BTW— the container is for 1 application! One more thing: 4 years ago the flap to dish detergent compartment wouldn’t open anymore and it was supposed to cost 150 $( just the part) to replace it- so what we did for 4 years now- set a time for 20 minutes, open the door to the dishwasher and threw the puck in. I don’t have to do that anymore- so the part wasn’t broken , just only calcified.
