Bought a SATA cable at Radio Shack and the new drive was immediately recognized. So I returned this cable to Amazon. I've got a full sized computer case and a unique situation.I ran out of SATA ports on my motherboard and the only one left was, you guessed it -- eSata. So, I ran the cable from inside the case to the outside (through the openings where the brackets are) so it would plug into the eSata port.
