good boxes for those custom controllers ect.machines nice. doesn't ball up like some other brands.

Unless I got two freak examples in a row, it appears that Bud ships these boxes with screws, and the recesses molded in for the screws, but does not tap the holes for the screws. Hammond boxes do not have this problem.The box appears as well made as any of the competitors, good fit and finish, but lacks threaded screw holes. Even the Chinese ones have threaded holes. I don't like the idea that I have to do their finish work for them and might even snap off a screw if I am not careful while force torqueing the screws in to cut threads.Update: I have now received a third Bud box. This one is labeled Made In Taiwan, and it does have threaded screw holes. So they are quite inconsistent, I never know what I'm going to get.

I made a Raspberry Pi Zero, HiFiBerry Hat, Volumio audio player that plays from local file share or internal USB sticks that holds over 500 albums in FLAC format. External antenna improves range. 5V buck converter allows the use of any power supply between 5 - 34 volt.Screws holes aren’t tapped, but included machine screws do the work nicely as they are harder than the softer aluminum.

Beware that this enclosure has a 2 degree draft on all sizes making the bottom smaller than the top. Apart from that, this is a great box, very well made and will reasonably work for my project. will be returning to get the BUD Ind AN-1304 which is the same as CU-234 but with a water tight gasket

The box is a typical nice, sturdy aluminum box. My only complaint was that the screw holes in the box weren't perfectly tapped, or the screws themselves were somewhat imperfect, because the first few times they went in, I had to seriously wrench down on them. The screws basically had to cut the threads.Now it's perfectly fine though!

I used this box for an electronics project requiring chassis ground. The metal is not anodized, which worked well since it was conductive. However, the screw holes are not threaded at all, which is a huge mechanical risk. Otherwise a sturdy design, but the lack of screw holes is a huge bummer.

This is a great medium sized aluminum box from BUD.The surface is brushed aluminum and looks great! Feels like high quality all over.It doesn’t come with the optional attachment mounting plate.But does comes with the screws needed to secure the lid.It’s a great box for RF shielding and other projects. Good price too!

I went online and I looked for an aluminum box and found this one that the description was measured down to a 64th of an inch. So I ordered it and what do you know... I got an aluminum box that was exactly those dimensions.
