... get a lightimetunnel and i dont regret it and recommend them over this light to everyone Close galaxyhydro but ...
quality construction out of the box was unimpressive to say the least traded mine in to get a lightimetunnel and i dont regret it and recommend them over this light to everyone Close galaxyhydro but no cigar spend a lil more on the construction of your light, heatsinks, and fans n' you'll have just as nice of a light

Still going great after two years!
I don't usually do reviews unless something really stinks or has been very impressive. The latter is the case with this unit! I've had this light almost two years, running 12-14 hr per day to grow sunders and the like. I think only one LED has failed, and yes, I'm not counting the UV emitter. As with other LED grow lights, it is very purple and had to work under. This little beast lights up a 3'x3' growing area from about 24" and the plants are absolutely thriving under it. They turn dark red in color as if they are getting full sun exposure. The indirect light makes the whole room purple LOL. Very little heat is produced. I'm thinking about buying another unit this winter and expanding my growing area. Curiously the price hasn't changed much since I bought the first one in 2015.

Not sure its really growing my plants some seem to be doing ok but the others no new growth
Not sure its really growing my plants some seem to be doing ok but the others no new growth it might be that those particular plants have become root bound in their pots or maybe the light. I think next time I will spend the extra money and goto HighTek Gardens supply and buy my LED UFO there I know for a fact those work as I tried replacing the old HTK G that burnt out with this Galaxyhydro

Good, but not Excellent
I pulled this out of the box and plugged it in while looking at the LED diodes. Don't do this! Wow, awesome light, super bright and doesn't get hot. I'll post more as I get results or have any problems with it. Latest Update: It's 'fine', but I am still not sold on LED's. I have since purchased a 5w-per-led unit and am anxious to compare results. Forget what I said about this being for 2-4 plants. I've found that this is good as a supplement, but I am not going to use this as a sole/single light. I read something but cannot recall - I believe that using Lumens to measure light output with LED lights is not appropriate but I cannot recall the details. Biggest learning? This light is no good for vegetative cycle. I mean, I gave it a good shot, I really gave it the time to assess the abilities of this light, but it just does not work for veg. Flowering? Yep, it's nice, but I would still consider more than just this one light. OK, being honest about it - vegging was poor, and flowering gave me small-ish results (that I was not happy about) - but the quality of the result was really quite good. Maybe if I hadn't goofed-up the first few weeks of vegging by using this light? Original Review - used this for only about a one-month period so far, and won't be using it again for at least another month, possibly two months from now. For my first use, this was used in combination with a couple of CFL clamp lights. This UFO-like LED light was super-bright and is probably all one needs for perhaps 2-4 plants, or a 4-foot square growing area or tent. It's a strange purple-ish color but it seems the plants love it. The responded immediately, reaching upward, standing tall. Again, I had additional CFL's for the lower sections of the plants, and I have not tested whether this fixture alone would be adequate. I just don't know, but I can say that I believe this to be adequate as the sole overhead fixture in a 4x4 area. No matter; even if I do continue with additional lighting, it's only a couple of 30-50 watt additional bulbs. Is this better than getting a ballast, hood, and both HPS/MH bulbs? I don't know. It could be, if one considers that the unit is not expensive, is light in weight, does not get particularly hot, and does not use much electricity. The plants seem to love it. I find this product to be worth trying.

CRAP CRAP CRAP
Stopped working after a month or so. Didn't say galaxy hydro anywhere on the light or box. Noticed that the plants responded very porly to the new light compared to the all T5 setup. Very stretchy. Basically ruined my entire crop experimenting with led light again. Never again. I'm so angry at Amazon for selling me junk.

Inexpensive and reliable so far
I am using this and a couple of other UFO-type LED lamps to supplement coverage in a fluorescent light growing area for ornamental plants. As noted elsewhere, one of these lamps won't cover much growing space, but they are useful for maintaining/growing large potted specimens located between fluorescent light stands. Based on my limited experience, I wouldn't use one of these as a stand-alone fixture for seedlings, but when combined with (for example) shoplight--type fluorescent fixtures, vegetative growth of seedling plants is good. The (relatively) low price of these fixtures is a real plus, seeing that failures of pricey ones leave users with few options (just try replacing bulbs on your own in most of them). If one of these goes bad (something I haven't yet seen in a couple years of using the UFOs), you're not out a whole lot of dough.

was afraid. not anymore
Hii everyone so I was super sketched out when buying this light id always used t5s for veg and clones. But I decided to give this little ufo a chance and I'm happy I did. Many months of use no burnt out lights and it keeps my plants super short and bushy!! My only draw back is the hangers this light comes with make it hard to hang the light even. And it doesn't have a very big coverage area. I'd say 2.2 feet.but this light rocks otherwise. Worth the price :)
