creepy dude!
yup the mad monk has just enough details such as potions nostrums vials and jars(and a fetus in a jar?) to have a really good WTF factor going on. a very well done little diorama. looks good on my 6FoM shelf! very pleased.

Looks great broke within 5 seconds
This is an amazing looking resin action figure, however the scaffold like support for the Rasputin figuring cracked when we tried to assemble it. It isn't a fatal flaw, but it was disappointing. This is an interesting and intricate piece, and I am still glad I own it.

really?
I like how it's all Gore and decay and they have a chocking hazard for three year olds. Like really what kind of adult would buy this for their child and if they did, then what the the hell is wrong with you?

RAT-sputin? I'll be Hanged if I know...
McFarlane Toys keeps on trucking into the Realm of morbidity and malignancy in its "Six Faces of Madness" series, giving us the opportunity to drop in on our good old buddy Father Grigory Rasputin, everyone's favorite wild-eyed Russian mystic, ascetic, depraved [...], conjurer, Romanov court favorite, and sexual omnivore. Here we find the man hard at work deep in the bowels of his St. Petersburg laboratory. What better environment for a man of the Mind and the Spirit than to be immersed in work he loves? Rasputin dangles from hooks affixed into the flesh of his back, hooks tethered to ropes that are in turn slung through a hook at the top of a makeshift scaffold, which the Good Father has thoughtfully joined to a laboratory table (to hold his unguents, phials, potations, poisons, and other useful concoctions, don't you know) as well as a handy wooden board into which cruel, curving spikes have been set---the better for tearing the flesh of Rasputin's feet, naturally!Science experiment or Aromatherapy gone wrong---you be the judge.Rasputin was a real devil to kill---his erstwhile assassins needed a few takes on that wintry night in 1916 to get it right, using strangulation, bludgeoning, stabbing, poisoning, [...], defenestration, bludgeoning (take 2: with chains!), and ultimately, when none of it worked, hurling the steamed Rasputin into the frozen Neva. Did he really die, though?Perhaps not; if this action figure---perfectly ghoulish and gruesome---has anything to say about it, Rasputin was an old hand at mortifying the Flesh and steeling up the Spirit. Seven points of articulation mean you won't have him down from his little perch anytime soon, but you can twist his arms, legs, and neck about, and you can also switch out his little potation boxes and vials of the---well, vile.As with the rest of the "Faces of Madness" series, the sculpt is astonishingly intricate: McFarlane has given life to Rasputin's brutalized and dirty flesh; the long black ropy coils of hair; the sensuous, sybaratic sneer on his ascetic face.Best of all, Rasputin has no fewer than six ratty little buddies to play with and experiment on, a thoughtful touch. RAT-sputin, perhaps? Whatever the case, if you delight in the macabre, you'll delight in this figure---it's real Horroshow.JSG
