He has used electric toothbrushes in the past but has gone back and forth between a standard and electric toothbrush. After using this toothbrush, he says he can never go back. He is enjoying using it and says his teeth feel like he just went to the dentist for a cleaning each time he brushes. With the 4 toothbrush heads, he offered for me to have one so I could try out an electric toothbrush. I have never used one and agree that it feels substantially cleaner than just using a regular toothbrush. It actually feels very similar to a dental cleaning and my teeth feel incredibly smooth and clean afterwards. It has a pause function (more like a very quick break in the vibration) every 30 seconds to remind you to go to the next area of your mouth to brush. It also stays on for 2 minutes and then shuts off so you know how long to brush your teeth. The charge seems to last and the power is strong on the "normal" setting (there is also a setting for "soft" if the normal setting is too strong). I compared many different (and much more expensive) electric toothbrushes and this one seemed highly rated and a great value. Overall, we both love this toothbrush and feel our dental health is significantly improved from using it. I highly recommend. ### ⭐⭐ Have 3 Sonic Edge's for about 7 months; 2 of them are still working great (other family members), one died. Much prefer it's feel in my hand and ability to clean after using Sonicare for way too many years. Have had this Sonic Edge for about 2 months now and very happy. Other family members are also happy with theirs bought at the same time also previous Sonicare users. BUT UPDATE see below:UPDATE: 2 of the 3 toothbrushes I purchased are still fine. 1 of them stopped turning on after 7 months. It seems to be charging (judging from the light indicators) but not working at all. I sent the seller an e-mail 10 days ago and have left messages on their toll-free line every few days asking for their help because I know the product is good, just this one gave up way too soon. They have not replied to any of my calls or e-mail. I called Amazon and they are processing a refund, so I can buy another. Hope the new one gives me longer use than this one.POST EVALUATION: The toothbrush has been great; The company in the past has been very responsive to a concern that now continues to surface that the toothbrush heads do not stay on - after a short period of use, the begin to ride up the post on the toothbrush. I've found that it cleans teeth effectively. The heads can be extremely difficult to remove, especially just after purchasing. They do ease up a little over time. As others have pointed out, the charging indicator is extremely bright, so bear that in mind for placement.I've had it now for about 5 months and the either the charger has failed, or the toothbrush is not taking/indicating a charge. Just called customer service and left a message, so we'll see how this goes.Update: I got a return call in less than 5 minutes. I was told the charger base was is likely the problem. It has been reengineered and they're mailing a replacement out via Priority Mail. I had a tracking number emailed to me in minutes.
