You can see an example of bumper plates in use in the gallery images where the exerciser is pushing the sled from the rear. Keep in mind that since bumper plates are generally much thicker than traditional Olympic plates that the amount of plates that will fit onto the vertical post will be more limited. **Q: Are there any models that can be used on both concrete and grass?** A: It is recommended that the ES-SLED be used on grass or turf. The ES-PS and the ES-SW have skid plates which allow it to be used on concrete, however with any sled used on concrete may still encounter scratching with the skid plates. We do recommend that sleds be used on grass or turf to extend the life of the equipment. Very solid and high quality. Works great on carpet and on grass but wouldn't use on concrete. Best used for pulling, dragging, weighted sprints, and hand over hand pulls but not ideal for pushing. The harness it comes with works fine to get you started. It's not the most comfortable and I'll probably upgrade the harness in the future. I got this spring and we have been using for over 6 months with out any problems. It is well made but I suggest getting locking hooks. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Seems like a quality built sled. Included harness and strap seem very basic *by C***E on February 28, 2020* Delivered quickly. Seems to be a quality build sled. The only thing needed to put it together was screwing in three screws held by a 13mm nut.We’ll see how it holds up. 45 pound Olympic plate fit snugly over the post.The harness included seems pretty low quality. The two welded “hooks” on the pull end of the sled seem welded to the sled well.I am looking to attach my TRX and use this to practice the sled pull for the ACFT. I had to attach two carabiners that came with the sled to the welded “hooks” and wrap the included strap several times around the carabiners until the strap was tight. I’ll attach the TRX to the taught strap.
