I need access to my music & class plan. This is much better than other make-shift options I'd rigged up. It takes some trial & error, but I can successfully get it secured around three different indoor bikes I teach on. I've had some issues with accidentally pressing the release button a few times & my phone will start to fall off. I've caught it so no harm done, but that darn release button is too big or too easy to press by mistake. I've used this with an iPhone 5 & iPhone 6, both with larger cases on them & had no issues with the adjustable clip securing them.
