Excellent choice for elderly with mid-stage dementia
Princess phones are usually described as cute and retro. Maybe the target market is people who miss the 1960s or who wish they'd lived then. But there's another, even more important, market for this type of phone: people with dementia. My 84-year-old mom is in the middle stages of an Alzheimer's-like dementia. Recently she moved into assisted living, and she had to provide her own phone. Cell phones have way too many (and too tiny) buttons for people with cognitive challenges. Regular phones also have unnecessary buttons, and many models have integral answering systems, which are mysterious and unusable for people like my mom. Cordless phones, like cell phones, also have the disadvantage of being easily misplaced and forgotten. So a corded phone with minimal buttons is the way to go. Picture phones, on which each button has a photo of a loved one, instead of a number, sounded good to me till I read reviews saying these phones make it too easy for the caller to dial the same person repeatedly all day long. I wanted Mom to have a basic, simple, old-style phone that required punching in the numbers, but that had no other options on it. Also Mom loves pink. So I bought this phone. It's perfect: a short cord, a minimum of buttons, nothing confusing anywhere on it, it rings loudly, and it's pink. Someday Mom won't be able to push the buttons and make calls, but by that time she may not know what a phone is anyway. Tragically, that's the reality of dementia. But meanwhile, this is the ideal phone for her. I recommend that people who need to buy a phone for a senior with mid-stage dementia seriously consider this little princess phone.

Great, Practical Phone with Excellent Phone Quality and Easy Setup!
The phone quality of this phone is awesome! I can hear her loud and clear! Thank you for making it easy to speak with her. My mother naturally has a soft voice, and I constantly had to ask her to speak up on a regular phone. She said that it was unbelievably easy to set up on her own. She loves the big, easy-to-press buttons and the bright backlight. It was very helpful for her to make phone calls right after her cataract surgery. After her hand surgery, she was thankful to have a phone that is thick enough to grasp without much effort. The only critique she has is she wants to be able to see who is calling and be able to block the unwanted calls with a touch of a button.

Corded Phone
It’s a bit annoying trying to plug the jack cable into the phone, but otherwise it works great.

Damaged Phone
Phone damaged. I bought this phone for my disable brother who lives in a different state. It rings, but he cant hear me and he has no way of returning the phone. So we can't even get a refund! Unreal! No stars, but 1 had to be given. I rate this frustration at -5.

nice phone until it died
I bought this phone in May 2022. I liked it a lot. It's small, doesn't take up a lot of desk space, is easily moved around. I like the Earth Day Green color too. The sound quality is fine---better that the Clarity phone I had before. My only only complaints are that the ringer was not as loud as I would like and the lever to turn the phone off and on is quite small and I think that some older people might have a hard time moving it. All was well until one day last week when there was a loud buzzing on the line. Century Link sent out a technician who checked the wires inside and out and said that the problem could have come from a recent rain/thunderstorm. After repairing any outside damage he checked my line with his phone and it was fine but my phone still did not work. He said, at that point, that my phone was broken. I had fortunately, I thought, bought an extended warrently through Asurion on Amazon but they told me that the policy did not cover this damage (?!) They did say that they would refund the cost of the policy and directed me to contact the manufacturer of the phone. I do not see anyplace on their website to contact them. If the manufacturer or distributor reads this, please tell me how to contact you. I still like this model and may buy another. Perhaps the manufacturere will make things right.

worst idea ever
My grandparents are very old fashion and didnt want a fancy new house phone. So one day i took the time to look for a house phone to their needs at radioshack. worst idea ever, visited the store about 5 times in one day. Anyways I decided to check amazon and BOOM this product came with everything i needed. so i took the risk of purchasing it and my grandparents LOVE it. it came the day it said it would arrive. the color isnt so bright, which was good. the ringer is the perfect volume for them, they can hear it through out their house. they can hear perfectly when talking. they love the fact that there is a 3 year warranty just in case anything happens. they also love the fact that they can see the numbers. they also love how big it the numbers are, before they use to dial multiple numbers at once and not anymore! this product is truly fantastic and saved me the hassle of going to amillion stores. this was the perfect house phone.

1980s Style Phone
Easy to use and it's always useful to have a landline that isn't cordless in case of power cuts.

Item arrived quickly. The phone is basic and easy to use with large buttons. It is very lightweight however and pulls easily off the desk-top. It also needs a longer cord between the handset and phone base. Otherwise works as expected.

My Mother has greatly diminished eyesight and could not manage the buttons on her other phone. This is so basic, she can't mess it up. The buttons are big enough she can see them okay.
