I have used this type of log lighter for over 20 years. It is perfect for getting wood fires going on a cold morning. Since local Home Depot stopped carrying them I used Amazon to find and purchase it. Great product, easy to install lasts me for about 4 or 5 years before it burns through.

Bought as identical replacement, saw name on item. First one lasted only two yrs, rusted out with indoor lite use .

Works perfect. Just be sure there is absolutely NO dust on the screen. But that goes for any screen protector. This is a nice,well priced ,good quality screen protector. Would buy again

It was too long for my fireplace. They would not take it back and it was never used.

I ordered the log starter to replace my old one, it was easy to install. It works quite well, no problems.

I ordered the 24" Log Lighter through Home Depot and has worked fine for just over a year. When I went to clean out my fireplace I noticed the Log Lighter had split in two pieces. You would think that this product would last longer than a year. I would only guess that they are using cheaper materials to make this product.

A search led me to Amazon where I found the best price and ordered. The product was all I could wish for. Prompt delivery, step by step instructions, and now like new performance. 5 stars.

Inexpensive but performs well. just make sure you use the correct plumbers putty for gas line installation. Turn it on, light it and it will get the logs glowing quickly. Then turn it off and enjoy the easily started fireplace.
