Knorr Fix spaghetti bolognese (Spaghetti Bolognese) (Pack of 4)

I got ready to make a batch of spaghetti and decided to try this as most Knorr products are great. Thank heavens for cell phones and translations programs because the only thing on the whole package in English was SPAGHETTI BOLOGNESE; everything else was written in German. The sauce it made was good but a bit bland so next time I make it I'll add Worchester sauce, garlic powder and a few other spices.

Years ago (early '90s), Knorr had a beef bolognese sauce mix that was fabulous - I remember a little cream (or whole milk) was added at the end. Super easy ... it was almost embarrassing to take credit for it. I saw the German version and ordered the pack of four. One reviewer said to add diced can tomatoes - I think it ruined it. I just translated the German instructions to English (.4375 lb. mixed minced beef - I guess that means a combo of beef, pork, veal? Brown in 1 Tbl oil; add packet and 8.4 oz. of water, cook over low heat for 5 mins - toss in cooked pasta and sprinkle with grated parm cheese if desired).The packets were delivered 9/11/22 and all four expire 11/22 - so a short two and a half months window before expiration. If anyone knows of where the version I described previously could be found, I'd love to know. Can't seem to get anywhere with Knorr's US website. Thanks!

Easy to make, flavorful, good value for the money

The flavor is great, my all-time best bolognese sauce. It's cheaper to buy them on your next trip to Germany but if you have none coming up, than this is a great alternative.

I absolutely love this sauce mix. I purchased multiple packs that came from multiple vendors in the same box. All arrived well protected and in perfect condition. All expiration dates are about a year out. Only one vendor took the time to print instructions in English on a sticker then attached a sticker to every packet. I thought that was very thoughtful and much appreciated. I tried recipes for making it both with and without added tomato sauce, paste or crushed tomatoes. Although I liked both versions, I personally preferred it with an added 8 ounce can of low sodium tomato sauce (along with the other recommended ingredients). I thought it would turn out too runny when I first starting to simmer the sauce, but it thickened up nicely and was absolutely perfect at the end of the cooking time. I was very pleased to see it thicken as it simmered. I prefer a generous amount of sauce on my pasta so I ended up with two servings from each packet not three as listed. I will continue to buy this product as long as it remains available.

Best spaghetti sauce in the world. Original package got lost (not the seller‘s fault). They quickly sent out another package. They item and the seller deserve 5 stars but since I waited so long I could only give 4 stars. So 5 stars for the quality of the product. Thank you!
