Back for another one.
Even with the four stars...it is still worth it....as long as you don't want to put much weight on it...and it is in a place it won't get bumped into often.I had my last one for about five years, sometimes got a little frustrated with the fact the shelves could pop loose, and if bumped it would shift the baskets a bit..... but overall this has been a handy way to store light weight things out in the open and easy to get to in my kitchen. It didn't just break for good on it's own.....,it was holding up fine over all til about an hour ago.....and it crashed to the floor when my 16 month old Doberman trying to get away from his older Dobe brother with a bone he had just swiped from said older brother..... went slip sliding head first into the pantry door, sending the shelf sideways and twisting and ker-splat...I don't think that normal wear and tear....so can't fault the shelf....all I can do is replace it....and maybe put rubber pads on the goofy dog's feet so he doesn't crash into the pantry door again, cuz he ain't gonna stop snagging the bones.

Why didn't I have this years ago?
I live in an apartment with a tiny kitchen. Our cupboards are also very high, so much of our food has been relatively inaccessible. I finally got this and love it!It's on a door to a back stairway--door is always closed and locked, so things falling off aren't an issue for me. And so, I didn't have to attach it with screws. It was easy cheesy to put together--and I can be assembly-challenged.Heeding other reviewers experiences with weight, I just loaded it with boxed items, such as grits, pudding mixes, croutons, tea, instant potatoes, etc. Also pasta and rice. I put some spare lightbulbs at the very top. Leave the canned goods in a more secure location! It's great to actually SEE all these food items and be able to grab them quickly as needed.FYI for those of you who are organizing a small kitchen like me, I also invested in some lazy susans, wire shelves so you can add a "second story" to a cupboard:http://www.amazon.com/Grayline-40710-Jumbo-Kitchen-Helper/dp/B000LNVXIY/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1360395741&sr=8-2&keywords=wire+shelfand "super magnets" with hooks (also here on Amazon) to hang things from the refrigerator. They are incredible!Final tip: Hit your local thrift stores. They have a ton of these organizing thingies for very cheap!Happy Organizing!

Solid Product - Does the Job Well. . .
I purchased this product to use in my linen closet, because even with four large shelves, there is just never enough room for everything! I set the two larger baskets towards the bottom, and the four smaller up towards the top. I used the bottom ones for heavier things, like big bottles of soap and cleaning supplies. Even though it makes the door much heavier and I have to open it more slowly, I've had no problems with any product falling or with the unit swinging at all. That may just be the fact that I placed the weight pretty evenly, and none of the baskets are too overloadeded. All in all, this is a very good product, but I did take away one star because the directions (or lack thereof) were pretty useless. I read the directions printed on the box and they made no sense. Ended up just putting the unit together by trial and error. It wasn't a big deal, and it didn't take long, but it was a little annoying. More than anything, I was afraid of breaking the pieces by trying to put them together an incorrect way. It's a strong enough product, but I can see the plastic bending and snapping if you press too hard. For the price, and the concept, it's well worth it. I only wish I thought of buying something like this sooner as it has saved so much space and helped me keep the linen closet much more organized.

the design doesn't really seem like it's going to be much until you put it ...
I bought this back of the door shelf years ago! It graces my pantry still today! A complicated system of interlocking mesh, the design doesn't really seem like it's going to be much until you put it together. But the shelves end up working for things like spices, sauce packets, soups, broth boxes, rice and noodle mixes, anything from cornbread to canned corn! There are several shelves that expand from beyond head-high to well below the hip. Tons of necessary storage, simply put! This was a wonderful find when I nabbed it off Amazon a few years ago, and I love every inch of it just as much, today!

Better Than Expected!
After reading the reviews, a lot of people said it was flimsy and it slides on the door. Either my husband is a better installer than everyone else, or they are crazy! It is much more secure than I anticipated and does not swing or slide on the door.It does come in two pieces, but there are screws all the way down that keep it from moving around. It holds a ton of items. I was able to clean out quite a few shelves in my pantry, giving me more room for other items or just to make it better organized. Keep in mind, I did not use this shelf for cans, because that seemed like it might be a little heavy. I stuck with mainly boxed items (ie. drink mixes, stuffing, rice, jiffy mixes, granola bars, etc.)For this price, I don't think you can really beat it.

not too bad, i think it will do just fine
needed something like this for a pantry/storage closet. easy enough to put together, wasnt difficult at all. only major thing was that the screws that came with the kit were way too long for the thickness of our door... they would have pierced straight through to the other side. luckily for us we just moved and have tons of screws lying around from various projects in the house so we found a bunch that fit better. the shelves could be deeper too... if we open the door too fast i think some things might go flying off the shelf... so hopefully we remember to go slow! lol. as for the taller items, we will have to find another spot for them. overall i think the shelving will suit us for what we need it for and for the price, cant really go wrong...
