I have to say, this pad is definitely one I'd consider a success. The gridlines are well defined but not so bold as to interrupt your drawing, the paper is of excellent quality, and the binding is strong and clean. I'd honestly rate this higher than the moleskine or field note books I've purchased. The only thing I'd like to see different is a binding on the long edge, instead of across the top. The paper is high quality, the pad cover folds back completely and doesn't cause it to be lopsided when drawing and the grid is well done and fun to work with.
