Conversational Spanish techniques used to teach challenging Spanish grammar topics
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. I have purchased and reviewed maybe 4 or 5 audio programs from this same author and this is probably my favorite. Why?Because it does such a wonderful job of taking the most challenging areas of Spanish grammar and making them very easy for a native English speaker to understand. And without giving you the feeling that you are learning grammar in a classroom setting. In fact, when I am learning Spanish grammar with this program I feel more like I’m just learning conversational Spanish as opposed to learning the rules or structure of a language.I will now go over some of the topics or areas of Spanish grammar that are covered in this program . One topic that is covered is the “conditional” tense in Spanish. And that teaches how to say phrases in Spanish such as:If I were to win the lottery, I would do X or Y.OrIf I were rich, I would do X or Y.There also a couple of lessons which taught me the “conditional perfect” tense in Spanish as opposed to just the “conditional” tense in Spanish. And by learning how to properly use the “conditional tense” in Spanish, I now know how to express myself if I want to say phrases like:I would’ve spokenShe would have walked. They would have hired him.We would’ve invited more people to the party, etc.I also feel very comfortable using plural commands in Spanish now. So instead of only being able to tell just one person to be seated I can now tell several people to be seated. And instead of only being able to just one person to be quiet, I now know how to tell two or more people to be quiet.Another thing that really impresses me about this program is that there is so much content for your money. Besides the 30 audio lessons which make up the core part of the program there also 10 bonus lessons which teach intermediate or advanced topics of conversational Spanish. But I think what I like most about this program is the fact that it does such an awesome job of teaching the Spanish subjunctive. And the Spanish subjunctive is one area of Spanish grammar that has really frustrated me in the past. I’m still far from an expert when it comes to using the Spanish subjunctive but after using this program I do feel a lot more comfortable using the Spanish subjunctive. If you have any questions about this program, please post your questions below and I’ll do my best to answer your questions.

Another great book!
This is anoter great book from Patrick. I love his products (note: I own almost every one of them). They are very practical. Especially the audiobooks...they are a must! Although this book is included with the audio course, I bought the kindle book anyway so I could review it on my Kindle Cloud Reader. At this price, it was completely worth it.I've used a bunch of different products and the audiobooks from Patrick are my favorite. Again, They combine the best of many other programs/styles to get you speaking right away. That being said, I'm glad I bought this book as well. If you want to learn to speak...you need to speak! Patrick's courses take away that fear while giving us practical phrases and words to use in everyday conversation.

Conversational Spanish in a learner friendly format
I have bought several Spanish learning books in print, kindle and audible. This is one of the best. It really helps you learn Spanish grammar in a conversational platform. The grammar portion is taught in a simple way to where you can really learn it, not just memorize it.I am learning Spanish to communicate better with my Spanish-speaking patients. As an RN, this is the only population I have to practice my Spanish skills with. Sometimes I have a few patients and then sometimes I have none, so this is an ongoing learning process for me.These books, especially this intermediate one has helped me take my Spanish to the next level.

so may helpful Spanish lessons
I already have some of the intermediate lessons in this set. I have the ones with the orange audiobook cover which are Lessons 31 to 38. If I liked those lessons then I must say that I love these. There are so many lessons in this bundle to help me make progress.By the way, the creator of this program says don't use the ebook transcript with the program and to just use the audio to develop the best pronunciation and accent. Despite what he says, I find the ebook transcript very helpful because it helps me visually reinforce my new vocabulary words.

An excellent product for intermediate-level learners
I found it to be exceptional for intermediate-level learners. I bought Learn Intermediate Spanish (Lessons 31 to 38) which are now a part of this program. Once again, another great product from a publisher who continues to create some of the finest audio programs for learning a foreign language. As I posted and asked in my review of Learn Intermediate Spanish (Lessons 31 to 38), when is this publisher going to begin offering programs that teach languages other than Spanish and Italian? I'd love to learn some other romance languages with this method or maybe even German.

Best conversation Spanish program
I first tried Rosetta Stone, and upon completing all the levels, thought I should be able to hold my own in Spanish conversation. I was dating a Mexican woman at the time and went to visit her family in Mexico. When I arrived, I quickly realized I had no way to express myself. I knew vocabulary but couldn't even come close to holding a real conversation. I figured I needed an audio program. LSLC was the first audio program I bought to learn real conversational Spanish. I found it very easy to complete the lessons in my car while commuting to work. After going through the beginner series a few times, I moved on to the intermediate. I loved level 2 because basically it has two levels in one (the original and the new). Again, I found them easy to complete in my commute.Fast forward to my next trip to Mexico. This time I found I could start to express myself with words just rolling off my tongue. I still couldn't have long and involved conversations, but my experience was night and day better than my first attempt having completed RS. I even got compliments on my pronunciation and use of slang.

Interactive method makes learning enjoyable
I have been using "Learning Spanish Like Crazy" e-books together with audiobooks for some time now. I find that they make the process of learning an enjoyable one, and therefore it is easy to fit it into my daily schedule. I particularly need to listen to the spoken Spanish rather that just read it, to ensure that I get the pronunciation correct. I only refer to the written word when I need to check how a word is spelled, or to decipher the few bits I don't understand. Having the e-book handy on a Kindle helps with this. Lesson format is excellent, it is easy to pause the audio to give me plenty of time to think carefully about what I am required to say, yes you have to put your brain in gear and think, not just repeat! Each lesson goes over what is learned a few times, which is useful in aiding memorisation of words, although I do like to write down new words as I go to be able to quickly reinforce learning. I am pleased to say that the quality of the audio is excellent - I have purchased other Spanish audiobooks in the past where this is not always the case! Overall, "Learning Spanish Like Crazy" e-books and audiobooks make learning fun rather than a chore.

Repetition is the key
I first downloaded LSLC Intermediate some years ago but I thought it would be useful to have it available on my various devices as well. The key to the LSLC method is repetition with small changes each time and this does work if you learn that way and use it regularly, which is the best way with learning any language. It definitely stays in your head and it is really effective if you use it alongside a grammar book so you have all the explanations of the concept first. However I find a lot of the content not particularly interesting or relevant and in my learning I like to listen to podcasts and news items as well to make the language more alive. But what I think is really valuable is the support that Patrick and his team at LSLC offer to their customers and over the years I have found them always to be really quick at answering queries and helpful in every way. It's not just some faceless organisation that doesn't care about their customers. I'd recommend this programme if you like to learn by repetition and it is really important to repeat out loud to train your voice in pronunciation, don't just think it in your head. The only other thing I'd like is some native Spanish speakers along with the Latino American speakers as it is helpful if you do most of your Spanish speaking in Spain, because the accents are quite different.

Combining reading and writing
I find the combination with this course of written text and audiobook syncing ideal. I have a need to read what I’m hearing to lock it into my old brain but I also spend long hours commuting and having the audio on my journeys allows me valuable listening time too.

Good Spanish Course as part of Language Learning
I usually listen to these Spanish lessons when I am running. I have finished Level 1, lessons 1 to 30, and am now up to lesson 33 in Level 2. I am an older learner, and find it very difficult learning a new language. An audio course like this one is an important part of my learning process, but not the only one as I need to visualize the written word and understand the logic. I am very happy with my purchase of both Level 1 and Level 2 of Learning Spanish Like Crazy and recommend it. The biggest problem I have with this course is with the long sentences as I have trouble processing all the English and then putting it into Spanish in the allotted time. Usually, the time allotted for the learner to speak the Spanish has long past before I get the first few words out. Longer pauses for the learner to speak the Spanish and separating the long sentences into two phrases would make the learning much less frustrating and more efficient.

Repetition and Clear Pronunciation
I am extremely happy with this language program. I downloaded it and listen to it in my car while driving. ( Its easier than taking the time to sit down at the computer in the house.) The dialogue is easy to follow with frequent repetitions of words and phrases. And when I am unclear of the material I have listened to I can turn to the PDF transcript. Excellent product that has really helped my with my Spanish.
