Legend of the Arch Magus: The Expansion Kindle Edition

I was hesitant to pick up this series at first but I'm very glad I did. Hooked me from the start and now that I've to finished book one I definitely want more and am glad so many have already been published.The author gives a very brief intro to the lead characters previous life before diving into his new existence and the writing is excellent. Didn't come across any errors and the way the characters interact and the world building really immerses you. I'm used to reading series with more action such as historical military fictions and fantasy which is one of the reasons I scrolled past this one so many times before giving it a chance.If you love Brandon Sanderson and Will Wight you will love this author. He has the same ability to make you quickly fall in love with a character. I can't wait to read the next books and see how things further develop.**I am re-reading the entire series after book 12 was released to refresh my memory and I just had to comeback and edit this review to say that this series really is terrific. I only have two criticisms. One, each book is about 250 pages so I'm finishing them in a matter of hours and second, I've noticed some minor grammatical errors.

This a very good story to read. I read all three available books in about 3 days since finding this story the other day. I am sad now that I have to wait for the 4th and hopefully more books to be released. Overall the story has many good points and some flaws.Good points:1. Characters including the main character are enjoyable to read with different personalities.2. The plot is well thought out with little to no plot holes that can mess up the story.3. The storyline is well-paced and enjoyable to read.4. Conflicts are believable and not cliche.5. Conflicts are dealt with believably.6. Worldbuilding is nicely done with just the right amount of it when needed.7. No info dumps.8. Decent grammar and spelling.9. Easy to follow dialogue that is intrigue and not robotic feeling.10. The story shows instead of telling.There is probably more but I will stop here.Bad points:1.Small grammar issues and spelling (might have been fixed since the story has been edited)2. The books are short (not really bad just personally wish there was more)3. At the start the story feels a bit rushed (this pertains to how Lark deals with stuff) (though it is avoidable so it's not too bad how it was done. )4. The price is not bad from a buys perspective but it's bad because the story is worth more than what it is selling for.5. It's bad there is only 3 books out as of this review I need more.(I really can't come up with many things I would consider bad mostly it's just the grammar and spelling that caused it to not be a 5-star rating in my opinion.)

Amusing, easy to read, witty and full of action.

Edited after vol 8.. book 8 failed to meet expectations. Too much air time for Big Mona that it looks more like side story. It should not be labeled as book 8, it’s just book 7.5Opinion after vol 7 ... I want to read a comforting fantasy and this series offer exactly that. OP MC, quite predictable plot, good world building, MC is not dumb, involves magic, swords, town buildings, war, several fights to save people, almost no romance. Easy language, easy to read for non native English speakers like me. Some chapters are not very interesting so I just skipped through those but compared with many web novels series these kind of chapters are quite few. I understand why some people may not like it but if you just want to read something taste like young adult fantasy fiction, this is a good series to buy.I bought 7 books of this series and will purchase the rest when they are released.

Price range in 99cent to $1.99Controversial issues -- NoneI find the story somewhere between 3 and 3.5 . I liked it, good plot. Characters were a little weak and stiff for first half of book. Feel the author has potential. Would encourage the author to continue and polish.Overall ok to good book and definite K.U. read. Not Worth the price due to short length and weakness of character development.My Main complaint, is the price compared to quality/length. I took a chance based on the sample but after finishing feel dissatisfied for the price. Story is Standard Trope where MC overpowered, not challenged in any way, everything just drops into his hands. Put together well and interesting story. But the quality/level of polish is not there yet.

El personaje esta muy OP por lo que la tension por los problemas mas inmediatos a el no es muy grande. Para mi lo interesante es ver como el resto del mundo se desarrolla y como llega a interactuar nuestro protagonista con este, pues mas que una serie de accion, lo leo como un slice of life de nuestro prota junto con las aventuras de todos los demas

The story is well written. The world itself has a unique feel to it. The progression is smooth and it is easy to track the story.

I love this series - have read and re-read all 11 books (I re-read the previous books in the series each time a new book is available - my memory not quite what it was and between wait for next book and reading other books, find re-reading the books very enjoyable).The next book can't come quickly enough for me.Great characters and stories.
