It is extremely hard and looks like glass but is actually plastic but very safe. I believe they used to be glass before the new design **Q: Does the bottle have a seal to break** A: I can't honestly 100% remember but I think it does. **Q: Can this be used on children under 12 years old** A: Yes I believe it says so in the instructions it’s very gentle no more than 5 drops at a time maybe less for a child **Q: Does any wax come out when softened with this ??** A: You have to wait 2-3 weeks before any wax naturally comes out. I usually use it before syringing my ears.
