The heat retention of this iron grill sped up the cook time dramatically, while leaving a crispy, crunchy, char. As you can see the fat between the muscles of this ribeye steak just melted away, I cooked this 1” steak in 12 minutes to a perfect medium rare, 3 minutes per side, flipped three times. The next protein I prepared was a huge tri-tip. The even, fast heating allowed this cut to sear up and contract into a perfect oblong pyramid “ just right“. Followed by Offset heat at 350° For 20 minutes created by simply closing the lid of my Master Touch, Followed by a 15 minute rest time. Pros: It’s a fraction of the price, not to mention makes my grill look, and function professionally. Cons: It’s heavy and a tad bit bulky in the kitchen sink for cleanup, but it’s performance more than makes up for it.

I thought I was buying ceramic coated cast iron. I cannot verify that, for it looked like cast iron, and I treat it as such. It is very heavy duty & leaves good grill marks.

Good fit for my mini 14" grill. Perfect sear marks! Cleaning however is a hassle but a detail grill brush will eventually get the job done. Can be flipped upside down to thin or think sear marks.

This is a great searing grate. I fire it up on top of a wide charcoal chimney (directly on top), and it makes a fantastic surface for searing the ba-jee-zus out of a sous-vide piece of meat.

Just like the Weber brand sear grate,but cheaper.It’s a heavy duty,quality insert.

It has worked well as a lower cost alternative to the Weber one. Doesn't quite fit in perfect to the Weber Gourmet Grill grate but a little wiggle and it goes in no problem.

This does a great job. I just put this piece directly over my coals and cook the steaks indirectly around it. Finish them on the grate for a dear and grill marks. Perfect!

Cast iron insert fits in the center opening of the steel grill of my Weber kettle BBQ. Very sturdy and easy to clean. You can get it good and hot and it's great for getting a good seared surface on a very rare steak.
