Almost dummy proof; very good product
1. I have a reasonable IQ, but when it comes to home repair / projects type of stuff, I admit it, I have some limitations. But like most people, I could always use some reorganization in the garage and thus after trying this and that over the years, I came across this product in the store and then purchased it via amazon (by the way, as some folks have mentioned, you can actually get better prices on some of the items at your local store and thus it pays to shop around).2. My bottomline impressions: * In terms of it being almost dummy proof, no matter what the marketing people state, the achilles heel of any storage system where you need to mount something on the wall is finding the elusive stud. I won't go off on a tangent re: how lame stud finders are, but suffice to say, I've owned at least 3-4 of them and they are all hit / miss in actually finding the stud. More frustrating is the fact that although home builders supposedly follow some convention in terms of how frequently apart they space the studs, every home I've lived in doesn't follow that rule. Thus, when the Rubbermaid folks state that the ends of the rail must be attached to a stud, well... that may or may not happen depending on your wall. * The pragmatic bottomline is that despite the above, you're going to have at least one or likely two studs to utilize and then you can then use a decent drywall screw in the other holes. Note: the drywall screws that come with this product are so huge that it'll create a massive hole in your wall (I just advise getting a metal drywall screw; ie the one without the plastic sheath). * Other tips: get a bubble level (cheap) and having a powerdrill is handy (it's good to have one anyway). * Once you get the rail up, it is really solid, sturdy and equally important (unlike other systems) very very versatile; you can add or take up various attachments so as to hang up other stuff as per your needs over the years. Furthermore, Rubbermaid makes various rail lengths.3. All in all, a very excellent, simple and flexible organizational tool for the garage... that is fairly easy to set up. Highly recommended.

Unbelievable Garage storage system
The Rubbermaid engineer who designed this system is a real genius. This is one of many Rubbermaid systems that I have used in my last 2 homes. They are great. Not only does the system make it easy to install, but it is versatile and makes the garage look professional.I am definitely a fan and i recommend this system without reservation.

Tools, tracks, hooks, patience
I used this product(bought here on amazon) with other 32” and 48?” rail tracks with various hooks that came with those kits and an extra double broom handle hook I bought through Rubbermaid amazon site. I also bought a 3-shelf with rail-track kit from Lowe’s 48?”. (See pic)Being a “handy enough” person, who just bought their first driver drill, bit sets etc, I used a few online videos to understand the written instructions better. Steps for 32” tracks are basically: Estimate track placement, StudFinder to find studs, Mark em, place track with a level, Mark and drill 1/8th pilots for 3 sets of 2 stud holes, pilot2 3/8ths holes for drywall anchors, place anchors, screw in all screws etc. The 3/8ths was a surprise. I made-do with a 1/2 in for first rail...took forever to get anchor in.The hardware was nearly sufficient. Plenty of drywall anchors, but I stripped a screw and there were NO extras. That reminds me, I still need to run to the hardware store. :-0The first two 32” rails took 5 hours. But the 6th one took 25 min from taking out tools/ladder to clean up=easy.Hardest part was getting two rails that match up side-by-side to both share a stud. Especially if your studs are not 16 Inches apart on center (+/- 1/4). I would have still used the rails on just 2 studs but the weight held would be way less than recommended. This is sturdy, and I’m already loving all the garage stuff off the floor.

Organizing a Garage
I bought a number of Rubbermaid FastTrack system pieces to help organize my garage. This kit contained a number of useful hooks and was a better value than buying them piecemeal at a hardware store. Installing the FastTrack system is very easy if you have exposed studs. Simply run a level along the studs at the height required and then use wood screws at every stud. With a wood screw every sixteen inches, I have no issues hanging full size mountain bikes at intervals along the track.A few cons:1) the plastic covers for the tracks slide freely to the sides. You cannot fix them in place unless you glue them and then they're stuck in place. Rubbermaid should remedy this by providing a means to clamp them in a fixed position.2) the rails come in sizes that don't play perfectly with 16" stud increments. You always wend up with an end of the track hanging over the edge of the stud. Also, they don't have a means of connecting two adjoining rails to make a continuous run of track. You can butt the two edges together and it works, but they've provided no means to connect them with hardware for added stability and strength. Those two issues aside, the FastTrack system works great and has freed up a lot of space in my garage. With our bikes, rakes, shovels, and other miscellaneous items mounted off the garage floor, it makes the area feel more spacious and allows us to park two cars inside without it feeling cramped.

Flexible and Sturdy
I have used this product to hang yard and beach equipment in my garage. Easy to hang with cement walls and wall board alike. I try to use at least a couple of 2X4's when hanging on a wall board. But using modern wall sinkers will do the trick. I do not worry about the weight but I am sure there is a limitation suggested. The various hangers that are available work for many types of bags and tools. Moving the hangers is easy and quick and connecting them does not require a tool to remove or fasten them to the bar.

Shipping was free but it didn't get shipped until the morning of the guaranteed delivery date
It was strong and durable, but the engineers miscalculated their math so wood screws vs anchor screws need to be swapped in the instructions (no biggy). It works great.

The hooks are easy to attach to the rack
This system worked really well in my shed. I bought this with the bike attachment. The hooks are easy to attach to the rack. It was easy to install. It is sturdy enough to hold the bike. I would recommend it.

Great versatility
Lots of hook options (I purchased extra) can fit 3 shovels on one hook. Installing is easy with a stud finder. Depending on how far apart your studs are you may not be able to attach into 3 studs as directed for maximum weight.
