This product is to be used with a Gel Press. It’s quick n easy to use and very easy to clean after use.

This is a decent tool and does the job i used it to start a print project with a gel plate .

Decent brayer
Not as sturdy looking as some I’ve seen but time will tell on that score. Otherwise it does the job well.

Roller flares at ends, not fit for purpose
Gel Press is usually a reliable brand, but this roller wasn’t fit for purpose, due to flaring up and out at ends (hopefully you can see this on left in pic). This means that when you roll paint with it, it doesn’t pick up the paint, or apply it smoothly - you get patchy cover with hard lines which are impossible to remove. Given that it’s meant for use on a gelli plate, that’s pretty rubbish! I already have a Speedball brayer (shown on right in pic) and it is supreme. I know it’s much more expensive but honestly the quality is totally worth it and you’ll get many years of use.

Not fit for purpose
I am so disappointed with this brayer. It is not fit for purpose. The user needs to be able to spread paint or ink by lightly rolling it over the gel plate. However the brayer does not have this simple function. As a result it slides across the plate if pressure is not put on it. The pressure leaves marks (lines) on the paint so it's impossible to control the print quality. I even tried WD40 on the sides to see if this would free it up but there was no difference.It is not worth my returning the product as the cost of postage will be so high. However if the company wish to send me a working version I will happily accept and review it.I am really surprised by the number of positive reviews this product it showing - that was the reason I chose it. It is only now that I have received a non-functioning one that I have looked at the one star reviews - all came across much the same problem.I hope this review will be easily accessible to all to that purchasers can make a more informed purchasing decision.
