Beautiful Sentiments
I received a free copy and voluntarily chose to write a review. This is such a special book! It is precious and highlights all the special feelings and thoughts that a mother has for her child. It is so neat to see the beautiful drawings inside, feel the love and know that it's so very true. Marina has done a fabulous job of putting a book together that is not only precious to share with young children, but also with older children. I loved this!

Lovely!
This is a lovely book with beautiful illustrations. The prose is from the author’s heart and shares what many mothers feel about the close and precious connection they have with their daughters.I received a copy of this book without any compensation and chose to review it.

So True!
My daughter is now 19. I’ve said these very things to her, all her beautiful life! This book is such a beautiful illustration of my love for her! Thank you!

Tear jerker
Incredibly beautiful-describes my own heart living in Anna, exactly. I wept by the end. ☺️ I didn’t realize there was a rhyme scheme until about the 2nd page & even then I couldn’t really sense a solid rhythm so just read it like a story, hence the 1-star deduction.

Poetic Connection
This story and poem is about the connection between a mother and child. When a child hurts, a mother hurts too. When a child is happy, a mother is happy too. This story beautifully captures this unique and powerful love.

Beautiful sentiment, but not a book I would recommend.
I always buy books for my kids for Valentine’s Day. I bought this for my 8 year old daughter. The story has sweet sentiment, but I honestly wouldn’t have purchased it if I read the story before I bought it. I just think there are better books out there.

Nice book!
This lovely book covers the emotions mothers & daughters face over the years. Sometimes the translation leaves it a little flat lyrically, but the sentiment is perfect!

not good
I got his for my toddler, she did not liked, a lot of the images are about the girl being sad, or alone! or crying

Spoiler-free: A lovely picture book celebrating the bond of mums and daughters with beautiful illustrations that are so cute!
This is a lovely picture book celebrating the special bond between mothers and daughters. The story is more of a poem by a mother telling her daughter how much she loves her. It begins with the day of birth with an illustration of mother and baby and the words 'Darling, my heart beat like mad the day you were born' the story then continues on each page as the little girl grows into a child and eventually an adult and becomes a mother herself. The entire book has a beautiful feel to it, it's definitely one that will make you both smile and feel a little emotional over. It's a book that mothers will enjoy for celebrating how much they love their daughters and I'm sure will spark memories of their daughters when they were younger. For those who aren't mothers though it still makes you emotional as it has messages that every girl needs to hear and perhaps doesn't always realise is felt by their mums. The whole book is in black, white and red colours with the illustrations a mix of black, grey, white and red. Every double page of the digital edition I've read has words on one side of the page with an illustration on the other. Some of the pages with text are white with black text and others are red with white text. Some of the pages have key words in the book which are in a large red font making words like 'love' stand out in the poem although most of the text is a smaller font. The illustrations are what make me emotional in this book. The words are lovely but I can't help but love the way that the girl is depicted especially when younger. The pictures look cuter than the one on the front cover, much cuter, with the young girl often displaying these beautiful large eyes that melt my heart. Key things like hearts and occasional other items the girl wears are in red but the rest of the illustrations are simple black, white and grey. This really emphasises the love in the book and it's these illustrations that make this an emotional read for me.While the poetry is lovely and what the mother says is a beautiful sentiment towards the bond of mother and daughter, I'm not in awe of the text. A lot of the poem is in rhymes but the rhymes don't feel that good especially as some rhymes end on one page and others are broken between two. And other sentences are so long I lost the rhythm of the poem. There are also occasional parts of the poem that don't rhyme and a lot of the wording is definitely meant for older audiences so I'm not sure a young child would understand it all. This is still a lovely picture book with some great illustrations but I feel it's more a book to give to mums on mother's day rather than one to give you young children. Older girls and adult daughters may understand and enjoy this but it's definitely a book about the relationship between mothers and daughters rather than a more simple children's picture book.
