Not just a book for Mom's
I originally bought the book for my wife but after reading the first half dozen pages, it pulled me in. It gave me a lot of insight on the demands that that are put on mom's and just how many directions they are pulled in.Overall, it's an enjoyable, informative, well written book with insights from someone who has gone through it and then some.

Great tips for mothers and non-mothers alike
When I saw this book's subtitle, I immediately thought of my sister (who is a mother) and wanted to get it from her. But as I started browsing through the pages, I realize that it spoke to me (a non-mother) in more ways than one.Too many of us put a lot of energy into our work and caring for loved ones and not enough in self-care. And while there are plenty of self-care books out there for every type of human, "Stretch Marks" offers the type of warmth and nurturing advice that resembles a mother's embrace. That's how I felt reading this book: like I was getting a constant hug from the person who loves me the most. A great read!

Wisdom and Inspiration Delivered with Humor
I have had this book for a week now and I can tell it is going to be one of those that I pick up and peruse, get inspired or re-charged, and carry on feeling invigorated. Autobiographical with totally relatable stories and situations where it's helpful to have a clear mind about your priorities and options about the course of action you can take. It is really a very good book, positive and uplifting. Agree with the other reviews, not just for Moms.

So many takeaways!
This book has a slew of insight for ALL of us to glean from. Trueblood does a fantastic job of keeping her encouragement and direction concise and light, yet heavy and eye opening at the same time. Her five mindsets framework can provide a valuable map as you think through what you want. Her "Fair Schmair" lesson is extremely simple yet somewhat mind blowing. I love how she encourages her readers to lean in while learning, put away the negative talk, see the positive and learn from the journey. As a Christian reader, she knows what I know and what most of us already know, we are not perfect, and she gently offers permission for all of us to embrace that fact. I think this book coupled with the knowledge I have that Jesus came to set us free from the bondage that the negative, self focused, downward spiral yuck mentality brings, is a win!! Well done, Amber Trueblood! Looking forward to your next book!

A useful, entertaining and feel-good resource for any stretched-thin woman!
This book really made me take a good look at all of me - who I was before my kids, who I became once I had kids, and who I want to be going forward - and how I can connect all those three women into one kick-ass self! So far it's helped me find more clarity than I ever expected and I learned valuable tools and tips I needed to start to regain the balance I was craving. Amber is incredibly insightful, empathetic and realistic in her ideas. I think this book is a must-read guidebook for any woman who is feeling stretched and pulled in a bunch of different directions and wants to regain (or maintain) a semblance of sanity and a sound sense self in and amongst all the noise.

Love love LOVE this Book!
I was gifted this book and thought hmmmm, what could these pages have in it for me? My kids are 15 and 13, I am beyond the baby phase and I think I'm doing pretty well at managing my plate. Stretchmarks pulled me in immediately, offering valuable insight and practical advice for any woman (and man) balancing, work, family, goals and an active lifestyle. I especially loved the chapter on Visualization. Amber breaks it down for you in her GOODIE method...extremely approachable and applicable for all ages. I hIghly reccommend adding Stretchmarks to your "must read" list...you won't be disappointed!

You want someone's motivation to rub off on you? Read This!
You need to check out this book! I read this at a time where I was just going through every day to make it to the next. I was in survivor mode from the pandemic and needed a refresh. Having finished this 3 days before the new year I couldn't be more inspired, positive, hopeful and motivated in all aspects of my life and the future. It was much needed and I have taken a lot away from such a short and simple read. Amber Trueblood is motivated and it’s contagious! She is smart, real, humble and an amazing mom too! I’m off to download her podcasts now! Enoy!
