They come with two sets of adhesive tape: one thick and one thin. It doesn't come with instructions, but I ended up just using the thin set at the top and bottom on the plates. I didn't realize they were different thickness at first and was confused why they stuck out so far. But I noticed and swapped them out. They seem to be holding very well. It's a cheap way to add a little bit more style to the car. I could do without the writing at the bottom but oh well.
