1 & 2 Peter and Jude (N. T. Wright for Everyone Bible Study Guides)

This study guide seems to be slow-moving and in my opinion is not a very helpful guide for this Biblical material.

This popular Bible study level commentary on Peter's writings was one of the references I used for a Bible class I taught on the writings of Peter. Tom Wright conveys the enthusiasm expressed by Peter and makes it live for his readers. There are no theological controversies discussed and no line by line translations. Just good, practical stuff about the thoughts of the leading Apostle. Recommended for those who don't thin they want to dive as deep as I did into the letters.

I purchased several copies of this book for a Bible study group at my church. Everyone likes the book for the most part. The only minor problem is that the author bases his discussion questions on a different translation than the one we use. This sometimes makes it difficult to understand the questions without looking up other translations of the original Greek text. With that being said, the book has sparked several interesting and lengthy discussions. It is one of the better study guides we have used.

My bible study group has been doing these NT Wright studies for about 2 years now. This is more of the same!These study guides are well-suited for group use, our group of 6-8 covers a lesson in about 1.5 hours. Occasionally, some of the questions are kinda personal for group discussion, but always good nevertheless.For deeper study, you can use these with their respective "For Everyone" series commentary.

Bought this for a personal Bible study. I feel it ask insightful questions and like going at my own pace during my busy summer

The Study Guide is quite satisfactory as are all N.T. Wright's study guides. My only concern is the long wait time for the books to be delivered. Is that because you are also offering them as a Kindle Version? Are paper copies going the way of the dodo bird?
