One of my granddaughters are mesmerized by dinosaurs. Previously, I had ordered the world and the United State place mats. Sweet Pea #2 was thrilled when we laid out the dinosaur place mat, used dry erase markers and identified which dinosaurs were carnivore and herbivores. We proceeded to highlight the place of origin of each dinosaur by continent, country and state. She was delighted to realize how many dinosaurs were found in her home state. This entire series of place mats are engaging for all of my Sweet Peas. They range in age from eight years to 18 months. We use them at home and I use them in the classroom with immense success. These placemats are definitely an educational resource and were created by an educator.I had to giggle when some of the reviewers commented on the price of the mats. As an educator, I thought they were reasonably priced. Purchasing these same resources from an educational store or website would be at least 20% higher than what is listed on Amazon. As an educator, I require tools to broaden a child's knowledge base and school budgets only cover the bare essentials.
