Kid fun on their own! No screens!
This game is really cute! It brings me back to when I was growing up in the country. Where I live now we don’t have lightning bugs. This game is easy enough for my six-year-old to play with my three-year-old by themselves. Sometimes they forget to turn off the lights so they need help with that. This game should be in every house with young kids that you want to get off the screen and play together. I wish I had found this game sooner! They light up bright enough to be found even with daylight and the lights inside on. Definitely worth the money. The bugs feel well made and like they can hold up with young kids playing with them often. I like the size of the bugs and they’re not too small to be found. My kids absolutely loved this game and we play it anytime we have someone new over. The parents always ask me what the game is and I send them the link.

So fun
Super fun and cute. My grandkids loved hiding the fireflies and trying to find it.

Fun for All!
This is such a fun game. We’ve had it since my 5 1/2 year old was 2 and we’ve purchased it as a gift and recommended it so many times since. It’s fun for everyone - one of a few games we actually enjoy playing with our kids haha. Love that it can be played indoors or outdoors and that the kids can be the hiders or the seekers which means double the opportunity for fun. This can also be fun for almost any age which is nice!

Precious memories
Bought a set for our lake house. The kids in our fam (6 of them) range from 8 to 1. Everyone loved it and begged to search for the fireflies every night. So cute and magic!

INDOOR & OUTDOOR fun for young kids in the dark!
I have a 6.5 year old and a 3.5 year old that both have a blast with this game. All of our fireflies worked--just wanted to mention that as some reviewers had an opposite experience. They are bright and they "blink" like a firefly. You get 5 of each color and the kids each get a plastic mason jar to collect their fireflies. We have had this game for a while now and have found multiple ways to find fun and the fireflies are still going strong. We use it to play hide and "bug" seek with the kiddos. We have used it outdoors and indoors. We have found its more fun for the kids if you hide them while the kids aren't looking. For example, we have our kids wait inside with one parent while the other parent hides all of them in the backyard, or we have the kids wait upstairs while we hide them in the basement for play on rainy days. We've also played it where the kids hide the each other's fireflies! You can also used it to play a similar capture the flag type game. We've done family teams where one team hides them in the front yard the other hides them in the backyard--switch and whoever finds them all first wins! Love it and will purchase it for birthday's in the future. Huge hit at our home and with extended family and a huge parenting win! We like to get creative with the almost 7 year old and it's been fun to challenge her with finding some tricky lightening bugs!

Excellent! I bought 2
One of the cutest games ever. 5 grandbabies from age 6 down to 1 month, and even the baby loved the lights.

Cute and a little annoying!
This is a cute toy and a great idea with a couple of flaws. The first is the fact noted by a number of reviewers that many of the fireflies don’t work out of the box. I purchased extra batteries in anticipation of a problem. Only 2 worked initially, but when I used a tiny screwdriver to remove the tedious little screw and took out the tiny batteries, wiped them thoroughly and reinstalled them, every single firefly became functional without need of new batteries. All was well until my grandson hid a bunch of them and then forgot where they were. We are still missing four! I’m not sure how long they continue blinking before their batteries give out, so I wonder if our lost fireflies are still in their hiding places blinking away, hoping to be found! Be sure your little ones understand that should hide them where the blinking light can be seen and that they need to remember the hiding places. They don’t have an auto off feature to turn them off if they aren’t found after a long time so they will keep blinking until the batteries run out.

Really cute game for kids of all ages
We came across this game while on vacation at the cottage up North of Canada. Our 4-year old are the time and 12-months old were playing with it most of the day, and not in the way it was intended for. They were simply taking them out of jars and putting them in, counting them, pretend play with them, line them up etc. We played the game once with our daughter and it was fun. So with Xmass on our way I thought this would be a wonderful addition to our already growing game collection. Especially since girls are growing fast and now the younger will be able to play the game next year. As everyone mentioned in the reviews we also had battery problems. I took star off for that. I feel like for the price something should be addressed. It was NOT fun to unscrew all of the fireflies to wipe off tiny batters. 2 worked, 1 needed completely new batteries, and rest simply needed to be cleaned and placed back. So much work! BUT they all work now and are ready to go. I intend to use them inside of the house and perhaps backyard during the summer. But I think it’s important to somewhat supervise kids if you don’t want the pieces to get lost. My kids are very respectful of their toys, but they are young, and I can see them hiding them somewhere and not remembering where the bugs went. Finger crossed that the game will last us years!

Only two worked
Concept is good. Love the little faces on the fireflies but unfortunately only two worked - disappointing. Maybe old stock so batteries failed. Returned it for full refund no problem.
