Although this was more expensive, it was worth it. Very heavy duty, and sturdy. Also stylish. Very easy to install with the included bit and hammer drill. Good instructions. I think I would have been disappointed with the cheaper tubular models I see out there.

We decided to upgrade our garage with epoxy on the floor, sturdy workbenches and metal cabinets. The original wooden steps from the garage to the laundry room were cobbled together by the builder and they were more appropriate for an outdoor deck. The workmanship was terrible and the supports were split where framing nails were shot through them into the wall. We installed new wooden stringers and new risers and treads using solid red oak. We installed massive wooden blocks, cut from left over stringer material, underneath the treads and screwed the blocks to the stringers. The blocks were 10" long and 4" deep and they were doubled up on each side of the top and bottom steps. The steps were assembled with screws, no nails and the railings were attached to the steps using the lag bolts supplied with the handrails. See image of steps prior to installing the handrail support blocks. The result is elegant and very sturdy. It is critical that your risers and treads fit the size interval for the handrail specifications. Determine this requirement prior to ordering the handrails.

This was the only product of its kind we could find - a railing that requires no assembly for my aging parents. The people who installed it were so impressed that it only took an hour, is strong, and looks nice, that they asked where I found it. They had not been able to find a product like this anywhere else for any of their customers. I couldn’t either. This is by far the easiest solution for the best price and the least work for concrete steps. I am a large person and I grabbed it and leaned with all my weight and it didn’t move. The finish is very nice and very smooth - no rough spots. I would highly recommend this product.

These handrails are topnotch: excellent quality, all items needed for installation arrive in the box, seller is available for questions. We had to hire someone to install them because we needed the finished install to be accurate and perfect and we are not DIY kind of people. Our contractor was impressed by the quality and even said we "classed up" our community where entrance handrails were not a part of the original construction design. The Seller is an ABSOLUTE SWEETHEART. He patiently dealt with our faux pas in the 1st purchase. 100% RECOMMEND

A bit of a bear installing (wore out a masonry bit) but looks and feels solid. Not too fond of the base caps, as others have pointed out they'll probably get dislodged by the snow shovel come winter.

We are extremely pleased with our Iron X Handrail Picket #2 (Concrete Steps) railings. They look great and so far have proven to be very sturdy. Although the installation instructions are very clear, we decided to have them installed by a company that regularly installs railings from other manufacturers. What impressed us, is that the employees from this company were surprised with the design and quality of this railing. We got the impression that they were very surprised that such a high quality railing was available on Amazon. In fact, they insisted on inspecting the railing before they would install it. We couldn't be more pleased with these new railings.

Sturdy railing and easy to install if you have a hammer drill for concrete.

First, this is a great product. Well-built and sturdy! The railing gets 5's all around except for the installation portion. Here's why, I'm very handy and have all of the right tools for the most part. The drill bit that comes with the kit worked well for the first three holes then I had to use these products to finish the job. #1: 10-piece masonry drill bits #2 Screw it again masonry anchors #3 Heavy duty handrail bracket optional but i would recommend #58634 and finally comfast 1/4 by 13/4 masonry screws.... ones they provided for me are too long. Use a masonry bit that is slightly larger than the screw your using so that the anchors will grip your screws when yall are tightening them down. I drilled holes to raise the level to the correct height instead of cutting the bottom post and inserted metal screws both in front and bottom post and added the bracket to really make it solid from top to bottom. I hope this helps yall in your project!
