Easy to use and incredibly loud! I got this because our dog was attacked by an off leash dog at the park. After a test squeeze, I have no doubt this loud horn will be very effective to ward off any attackers. Heck, I think it will make all beings at the park stop in their tracks!

Loud, easy to use. Has a clip on it also. Whatever you.... do not hold close to you when you discharge. The can says - point away from your ears. It is LOUD If you hold it close, your hearing will be very faint for a few minutes. 😂 I found that out when I tried it out. It took about 5+ minutes before my hearing came back 100% (And no, I did not read the can before I used it! lol) It is like a strong fog horn, but with a higher pitch. Loud & clear Having said that, absolutely worth it!!! Tryied it out in the house when the dogs bark at anything that passes by outside - The dogs freeze & stop immediately & actually move from the window. The cats run to another room. Now, I only have to hold up the can - silence from them. 🤗 If you live in the country, coyotes etc. it might be a good choice.

I saw this at the vet's office (used to keep office cats out of trouble) and bought one for a family member who was having trouble with their dogs wanting to "face off" over food and snacks. It is LOUD and effective, it only took once or twice and the dogs decided to leave each other alone. It is handy and portable enough to carry around or keep nearby *just in case* and is still working after a year or so of only being used twice. An inexpensive handy purchase to have for indoor or outdoor use.

After an encounter with an off-leash German Shepherd some years ago, the personality of our Male Chi-Weenie (black one) changed drastically. He was no longer the happy-go-lucky, friendly, play with all dogs little guy anymore. He reacted in negative way to most dogs, no matter their size. Very sad to see this change, and no clue how to break him of this "get you before you get me". He also began fence fighting with neighbor's dog, when he used to ignore that dog prior to incident with the GSD. The neighbor's dogs are 40-50 lbs, or larger, and one of them even "pounds" up against the fence. About a year ago, her daughter moved in and she has a dog also. I NEVER let ours outside alone, but theirs are always out alone and they are VERY SLOW to react to any ruckus at the fence. The amount of incidents or encounters with off-leash dogs in our area has increased, and it's out of control. We have a strict Leash Law here that is being ignored - especially on the Walking Trails. Add to that the stormy weather damaging fencing and/or knocking it down; pets escape. Neighbors on a message board recommended this DOG HORN, so I decided to give a try. I have used the XL once during a walk on the nearby trail. There's a home with 2 large GSD's behind a chain-link fence and my little guy knows the area and gets all amped-up and we aren't even close to them yet. As soon as one of the dogs began barking, I gave a SHORT quick press and EVERY DOG was QUIET. It was LOUD! Oh my goodness. I will wear ear plugs in the future. It was also amazing that ALL 4 DOGS shut up. I think our Female (tan one) will return to her "better self" quicker than our stubborn Male. She's the more sensitive of the two. During this walk, we did not encounter a loose or off-leash dog. I will be carrying the XL with me in the future. As far as the fence fighting at home goes, have only used it once so far. Like the trail experience, all the dogs stopped the incessant barking/fighting at the fence. The day before, I let my neighbor know that I had this device and she said, "Good. Maybe my dogs will learn a thing or two and stop." I told her it's very loud but that I only use a single short burst. Now that I know the XL is getting a response from our dogs, I will probably order a Refill Set. Glad this product is available in a refill style.

I absolutely love this Dog Horn XL!!! I walk early in the morning and was concerned about a dog coming after me and true enough my worst nightmare came true. I was out walking and seen a stray dog about 100ish feet away, dog locked eyes on to me and came charging full force and barking. There was nowhere to run. He looked like he was ready to shred me to pieces. Very intimidating, my heart was racing. Dog got about 8 feet in front of me and I pull this horn out of my pocket and blew it and that dog immediately turned and leaped like a dear to get away from me. Dog didn't bark anymore, didn't look back at me nor did it stop, it actually fled for its life!! It was hilarious! I felt so good and so VERY happy I had this. This dog looked like a mut, no collar and about 30ish lbs. I initially was skeptical of this product but now I am a believer and I strongly recommend this product.

Small and compact. Haven't used to tell if loud and helpful.

Bought to scare the coyotes and haven't seen a Coyote yet since I got it. Do you think they know I have a horn now? Hope never having to use it however feel safe walking the dogs. Very light weight.

After the eclipse, my dog was very patient waiting with us outside on the driveway so I wanted to walk him. We saw our neighbor’s dog being led by his daughter on her wheel kick scooter at the end of our walk going around the corner so we cross onto our other neighbor’s lawn to avoid the four of them and let them have the side walk. Their dog lunged at my dog, I was not sure to bite or play jump but better be safe and I already had the Dog Horn XL Air Horn out showing to my son because I just passed by the neighbor James on Baltus Drive ( his black dog bit my dog and he doesn’t care to pay for the wounds on my dog’s neck after texts and phone calls and mail.) The air horn was loud and I sprayed it twice and the other dog snapped out of his lunged while the dad grabbed the leash to pull him back. The air horn saved my dog from possibly being injured again so I’m ordering another one. The air horn feels cold ( exothermic reaction? :-) after the loud spray, my dog was calm and kept on walking with my son and I, like nothing ever happened. Better be safe than sorry.

I haven't had a chance to use this horn but I think it will work because it is very loud and should scare off any dogs or coyotes.

Don’t waste your money on this piece of garbage! You can burp louder than this thing. Just more stuff for the land fill 🤬
