Like any other sealant it works well into whatever you're sealing, for me it was the flue pipe of the log burner. It does smell pretty strong so try not get it on your skin. A good solid black colour to match the log burner. The only problem I really have is that I don't need whole a tube and some sealants can eventually dry out in the tube before you need to reapply.
