The Heart of the Buddha: Entering the Tibetan Buddhist Path (Shambhala Classics)

Serious practitioners only!
This title is for serious initiates of esoteric Buddhism, particularly with the Kagyu school of Tibetan Buddism. The publisher never intended these books to be bestsellers. Trungpa was a controversial teacher, yet his thoughts are relevant and have wisdom to those who have a connection to him. Otherwise, most of the information will be misunderstood or confusing.I read this years ago and purchased a new copy recently and have a bit more understanding of it now. Its great that these titles are still in print. I hope they can help those who need it.

Be Warned -- Highly Controversial
I don't remember why I found and bought this book, but after reading, parts of it are too cultish for me, and after looking up the author's controversial life I don't feel I can take refuge in him as a teacher. If you're in doubt, try reading the Wikipedia article about the author before buying the book.

Particularly Fine Publication
I am a reader of Chogyam Trungpa's works and find this one particularly fine. As his is normal writing style, this publication of lectures is down to earth and understandable. I recommend this publication to everyone looking to understand Buddhism ideas whether you are just starting on the path or have been on it for some time.

Great teaching / learning resource and a great read.
This book is a classic resource for the Shambhala teaching programs. It is one that can be read in totality or just a chapter here and there, or a paragraph. It is all so meaningful and full of the truth of life. Highly recommend to anyone wishing to learn about themselves and humanity. Enjoy. :-)

Delightful book. It is not like reading, it is like listening. It allows one to make traveling the path of this life more meaningful and purposeful.

One of the best books out there to introduce the pith of the Buddhist teachings. Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche was a master in translating the Buddhist teachings for a western audience.
