I use them for keeping an eye on my 95 year old mother when I'm away or on the job (out of state). It has been very useful. I like the night vision mode and the clarity of the 1080 during the day. It was easy to set up, once I got familiar with the app and read the directions over a time or two, and although it does ask you to subscribe, I told my husband that if I liked it during the free trial, I'd have no problem signing up. I do think it can be used without the subscription, but I think it's needed for recording and cloud storage. I can control the camera and move it's direction from my phone, as well and speak through it, even when I'm not home. The two way audio is great, good sound quality, and the night vision is clear. It has a much better picture than I expected for the price. I really can't say enough good things about this camera.
