The Orbit Apollo 8 manifold gives you even more precision in a small, durable package. This simple manifold screws on to any 1/2-inch riser and contains 8 individual outlets for 1/4-inch tubing. Each outlet has its own adjustable flow control from 0 to 25 gallons per hour, so you can tailor the watering of different types of plants and using different methods of drip irrigation on the same manifold.

Just what I needed and worked perfectly and simply
I ran a spur off of my homemade pvc pipe watering system for my garden, and hooked up this 1/2" female coupling to a 4" riser. I then hooked up several DIG 1/4" tubing lines and drip ends that flow to a group of potted plants that we have outside and around our garden. The system works perfectly. One valve is turned to water the garden, and the potted plants get it too. I have ordered another one of these manifolds to run another spur off the opposite end of the garden to water those pots as well.I had no trouble getting 1/4" tubing to fit these ports. If I had had trouble, all that would have been needed would have been to place the end of the tubing in hot water to soften it up and then quickly pushed onto the port. The lines were a snug fit but they went on without any herculean effort. The individual adjustments for each port works perfectly. A simple slotted screwdriver adjusts them, but then so does the adjustable drip end. Between the two, you get the perfect water quantity for each pot. I would highly recommend this very versatile product.Again, since I could not find the specs on the threading under the manifold, it is a 1/2" female coupling that fits a 1/2" male end. I hooked it up to my 3/4" water supply to the garden through a 90 degree elbow with a threaded end, into which I installed a 3/4" to 1/2" adapter/bushing, both of which are 86 cents at Home Depot. Then the 1/2" riser was screwed in to the elbow and into the underneath of the manifold. I'm no plumbing expert, so this is probably elementary to most DIY'ers. If not, I hope this is helpful for use in a unique application like I used it in.

Great irrigation system for all uses
I could not find these at our local stores and finally found them on Amazon and cheaper than local stores (if they had them!). They work very well and because you have 8 lines you can use to cover a large area or small one. You can get the 4 line one but the water is not adjustable on each nozzle. Make sure you use the right size tubing for the drip or it will be difficult to put on. Also get a high quality tubing because summer months will wear out the cheaper ones. I've used small soaker lines on these with connectors to get the line to the soaker. These are good products, but if you live in cold country, remove them before the freeze and put a cap on your riser as they will not last as long if left in freezing temperatures. I've used these for a couple of years and use them in raised beds, in rock landscaping (the tubing goes under the rocks so it looks neat and clean) and also for other areas I can not get water to. I can run a very long line off one of the drips so that is handy. You have to have a small screwdriver to adjust the water on each one and sometimes those will break if left to the elements. The little caps work if you are not using one of the lines so save them for later use. I would recommend this one to any gardening or landscape use. I also like that each line is adjustable for water usage as some plants do not need water as much as others. Only the one with the 8 port has individual adjustability for watering plants. Great product!

Works great tons of water flow
Works great plenty of water flow. Much more than cheap ones. Doesn’t leak. Just make sure caps on extra outlets are all the way on or you get sprayed.

Great piece, make sure to avoid overly plasticy/pvc-ish hose
It works great I actually used it at the end of a hose to reach a far part of the garden. I was able to regulate the flows to several different spots. I expected to use all 8 but it actually made sense to use less outlets for my purpose so I capped some of the ends. My advice is to avoid using the super cheap 1/4" irrigation hose that is plasticy/pvc like and instead get a rubbery/vinyl hose. The green parts of this could easily break if you try to force fit with low quality hose if you are not careful.

Great for managing your 1/4 inch irrigation system
If you really want to get into managing your irrigation system you need this. Eight lines and an adjustment for each one. This works perfectly with the Rain Bird B006JZ51CW Rain Bird SWDMSPKIT Drip Irrigation Spot Watering Manifold on a Spike Kit . Sits right on top of the spike replacing the manifold that came with the system.I also love that the caps screw on/off which makes them very easy to reuse. At first you don't know how much water is going to be enough or too much. With this you can adjust each line so that they disperse the right amount of water for each plant at the same time.

So happy I bought this model and brand over all the others!
I realize this was designed to be retrofitted to a sprinkler system to turn one sprinkler head into a drip irrigation point for 8-drip irrigation hoses, but I actually designed my system to using this instead of drip emitters, which I am all too familiar with and I have to say I really am glad I went with this instead. One I can control the water flow to a plant and as it gets bigger over time I am able to turn up the water flow to just that one plant, no emitters to have to worry about plugging up or needing to replace as I connected my hose straight into a 1/4" soaker hose. I also enjoy that since my system is under 100-psi I did not need to worry about any pressure reducer. One question I had before buying it was about those little black caps on the ends of it where the hoses attach too... They are little tiny screw on cap/covers and right above them it is barbed to slide your hose onto. Which again is just one more smart thing they did in this design to keep an unused port from getting plugged up, I've seen other designs of this type of unit, and I am very happy I choose this design over all the others. It stands about 1-3/4" tall (set screw max height) and just a little bit over 3" wide (drip arms width) and the drip emitter arms (90-degree elbows) are turnable so I can even have them pointing to the sky if I need too for areas where this could be right at ground level.

Good quality
I like these better than anything Rainbird makes. I feel they are more sturdy and will hold up under pressure.
