I knew I would need a rucksack a lot of the time but was concerned about security.The security in this bag simply comes from the fact that the opening is against your back so people can't get to the zips. It's not foolproof and someone could still cut your bag to get things out (other than any small bits that you could fit in the small pocket/pouches inside) but it's certainly enough to slow people down. My sister and I simply used the bag for our non-valuable items like cover-ups for temples, sun cream, water, fans etc. while using a bum bag on one of our fronts for valuables.Overall, I was pleased with the bag, it looked smart and other than the zip on the inside pocket not closing properly all the time the quality was good, especially for the price.The only real downside to this was that my sister bought a near identical one in Khaki from another seller who was offering further colours of the bag. Hers was essentially identical but for the fact that there were two further hidden pockets in the outside of the bag which were handy for non-valuable bits that you want quick access to. I love the two tone colour scheme and also the three way use of it as handbag, shoulder bag as well as back pack. The two side pockets so useful for umbrella and bottles of water too. I would have given it a 5 star if it had more compartments inside for ease of finding things and would gladly have paid a few pounds more for this facility. There are two small open pockets and a small zip pocket but the main compartment although nice and roomy, objects like purses phones etc get in a jumble.
