The screw in the lid is sticking out a bit but I haven't had any problems with it, and I feel if I screw it down it might puncture the lid. So I'm happy where it is. The cover is nice and sturdy. I haven't used the cup to heat up water yet but I'm sure it holds true. Perfect piece of equipment to go with my airsoft. And day to day use. 100 %recommend.
