It makes cleaning very easy with the magnets for the filter media. I would strongly recommend upgrading the filter media though, as the stock is 3 sponge and one carbon slots. After upgrading mine, it has the power of a canister filter and the water is crystal clear. Here is how to upgrade: - Slot 1 (bottom): leave one of the stock filter sponges in (mechanical filter) - Slot 2: fill with Bio beads like Fluval BioMax for internal filters (Bio media) - Slot 3: bottom half with BioMedia again and on top water polish pad, like Fluval water polish (Bio and mechanical) - Slot 4: Replace the carbon sponge with Purigen, this is the best chemical filter and it will remove all the tint form the water. (chemical filter). This will ensure your filter is top notch and your water will always be clean and balanced.

The rated voltage for all models of the Bioplus Thermo would be 120V/50-60HZ.
Standard 3 Prong Plug. The compatible HeatUp Heater would be the same voltage. Wattage would be based on the size of both filter and Heater.

Heater unit arrived with temp controls apart. Can't get it calibrated, and shouldn't HAVE TO.
