These are extremely small keepsake urns. You would need the full size urn for the ashes of an average adult.

I couldn’t tell you for sure if it is fire proof, but in the little bit of research that I have done after reading your question, I would say that it probably would have a 50/50 chance of surviving a house fire. According to the description, it says that this urn is made of brass. Brass has a melting point of just over 1700°F. According to the US fire administration, the typical housefire burns anywhere between 1100°F and 1500°F. Even then those are just averages and there are plenty of housefires that have burned much hotter than the 1500°. If you are looking for some thing that is fire proof, then you need to find something that is made of either carbon steel, nickel, stainless steel, wrought iron or titanium because all of their melting points start at 2500°F. Sorry for the long answer, but I hope it helps point you in the right direction.
