fits 2015-2017 Honda Fit / 2016 HR-V Smart Key Fob Keyless Entry Remote (KR5V1X)

A used Honda Fit I recently bought came with only one smart key. I wanted a backup key, so I ordered this OEM replacement key. Product was delivered promptly.The only downside of replacement smart keys is the high expense of programming them to a specific vehicle. I had to pay a locksmith $150 to pair the key to the car. However, when I also needed to swap out the original smart power button, the programmed key still worked fine with the new button. Recommended for used Honda vehicles.

I was able to have the local dealership program this device to my car. Their remote was 4 times more expensive. The down side to this device is that neither the dealership or any local locksmiths would cut the emergence backup key. They all claim the type of metal the key is constructed from is too hard to cut with their equipment.

Needed a new key. Pretty simple as soon as I find someone to put it together. Prompt and just what I ordered.PS, on another note, I do not use Amazon that much because I don't need much. Every time I do, I get 30 days free trial. I appreciate that but it makes me nervous. But, if that is what you want to do, I will accept it with pleasure. Thank youl!!!

This was a great price compared to OEM fob from the Honda dealer. After I received it from Amazon, I took it to Honda of Greeley, CO and they programmed the fob and cut the door key for $115. Total out the door $150 compared to OEM fob which was $280-375 depending on the dealer!
