About the Author "Paige Slone Plagenz is a high school student at Upper Arlington High School. When Paige was fourteen years old, she wrote Cookie Moon in her "English Writer's Notebook" for her own enjoyment. Her English teacher, Mrs. Orloff, discovered her story and encouraged her to make it into a children's book. Later, when Paige was seventeen, she decided to illustrate and publish her story. Paige has always had a passion for drawing and wants to continue pursuing art. Paige lives in Upper Arlington, Ohio, with her parents, Cyndi and Rich, her two younger sisters, Morgan and Reese, and their dog, Scout. Paige's family inspired Cookie Moon. When Paige was young, her dad made up a story for her and her sisters each night. Her grandma loved to bake cookies and her grandpa loved to eat them."
