I need a vertical version,are they an option?

Unfortunately we do not have vertical.

Can I hang the board vertically and adjust the hooks accordingly (to still hang horizontally)? I only have 7.5" width to work with.

I guess you could, but they do make a verticale version. We ran into the same problem.
